Bfp line faded after a few hours

Hi ladies, I took an FRER and Asda own brand this morning (think I’m 13dpo). I dipped them both in fmu although it was quite diluted as I had been thirsty through the night. The Asda one came up with a line straight away, albeit a very faint one. The FRER took about a minute and was lighter than the Asda one but was still a pink line. I went back to bed and when I got up a few hours later and the FRER line had faded to basically nothing. The Asda one is still visible but the FRER one is barely there. What are my chances? Im going to try and hold off a couple of days and retest but it is killing me inside! This is our 7th year ttc x

Yes very true. I’m tempted to take another one tonight but no I will be disheartened if it’s another faint line xx

I’d say give it another 24 hours then test op. I’m here if you want to talk xx

summ3r2 · 17/02/2020 17:24

Thanks very much, I really appreciate it. Yes I think I will wait xxx

Hey all, it's worth remembering that first response test results are only readable between 3 and 10 mins. After that time frame the result can alter. So when you went to bed for a few hours and checked the test again, it is technically no longer applicable. Having said that I know myself that I have kept tests so I can keep looking at them, but I already know the result by then.

Well I took an Asda test and a frer just now and a pink faint line came up again on the Asda but nothing at all on the frer. I thought I saw a glimmer but I think I have line eyes. I don’t know what to think now! The Asda one is still faint but definitely pink xx

Well you have some positive hope then, if you are due AF soon then you can always wait to see if it arrives!

summ3r2 · 17/02/2020 21:20

It was due today. I took an opk and my lines are still really dark, not positive though but not far off and that never happens. They always go back to practically nothing. I will definitely wait a few more days before testing again. It’s too much heartache. Total rollercoaster xxx

Thinking of you op, really hope this it for you Flowers

Thank you. Haven’t tested yet. Waiting until Saturday morning. No real symptoms though so I think all my tests have been dodgy. I’ve taken 6 all with extremely extremely faint lines that came up straight away but I’ve read so many forums this week about this happening and them just being indents but mine all had colour, not sure if an indent has colour. The frer I took last I thought I saw something but don’t know if I just wanted to see it. The next day when it had dried there was a faint pink line but I know that it could have been an evap. If no line on Saturday then I know I’m not because I should have a prominent line at that point xxx

I've learnt not to test early as I've had two chemicals both detected only on frers Hun, if the line doesn't process I would hope for the best but prepare for the worst, my lines finally got a bit darker both times and then I came on, it wasn't faulty tests and blood test showed my number was at 17 so some sort of pregnancy was trying to take place xx

summ3r2 · 20/02/2020 17:33

Thanks Shelly. Sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancies. I did think that it could be a chemical. Il never ever test early again now. It’s so awful xxx

It's so hard not to, it's so upsetting but my doctor seems to think it's totally normal and common and a good sign that we are at least getting pregnant 😪

peachypetite · 21/02/2020 19:19

Thank you. It’s been so hard mentally and there have been many times I wanted to give up. This was going to be our last year as I’m nearly 39 so hopefully this little bean sticks around to make our dreams come true xxx
