Implantation or UTI???

I'm 10DPO and im feeling really odd. I've been getting aches everyday for the last 3 days at least off and on.

The aches (not so much pain) are on my lower left side sometimes going across the lower part of my abdomen, even in my pelvis. This morning i had an ache across the bottom of my back too. I feel really heavy down there and sometimes feel like I've wet myself or I've came on but there's never anything there. I'm not due on till next week.

I thought it may be a UTI - which i never ever get, but it doesn't sting/hurt when i pee, my pee is a normal colour no smell but slightly cloudy at times and I am peeing more.

I know implantation and UTI symptoms can be similar ... i took a test last night and it was negative!

I'm so confused help! Has anyone else felt like this???

Hi @Lauren2409 I could have written that post, I’m experiencing all the same things. AF was due yesterday and still no sign of it showing up. I’ve woke up this morning with a bit of a sore throat and metallic taste but don’t know if I’m just trying to imagine symptoms for wishful thinking. Too scared to test yet.

Take a test :) 10 DPO should be enough to pick something up :)

At 10 dpo you could get a positive test so why not try that and see? Good luck

@Sdoo4 Yeah I'm like that i seem to be Symptom spotting every month but this is not something that i have ever felt its not as full on as period pains at times it feels like a stitch!

I was a bit gutted when i tested yesterday scared to test again hate seeing just one line.

@ItsAlwaysSunnyInPhiladelphia can one day make much of a difference?

I literally just came on here to post about this exact situation and then saw your post! It's driving me insane.
I've definitely got a UTI because it's really hurting to pee but I can't tell if the aches are UTI pains or implantation! I'm 7DPO so it's perfect timing for implantation.
Also went for a wee today and when I wiped there was blood, happened a few times but I couldn't tell if it was from my urethra or vagina. I tested it by wiping before I weed and there was nothing, only blood after I actually weed.
Driving me insane! Only way to tell I guess is to wait and test in a week or so.

Hi my period came 4 days early last month which is unusual for me about 3-4 days after I had a light bleed which was 3 days long didn’t need a pad or anything just when I wiped could it be implantion could I have fell pregnant after my period tests up to now are negative I’m really hormonal snapping and crying at everything really bloated my boobs are sensitive and feel fuller and I’m getting waves or nausea and really craving sweet things my son is being really clingy which he isn’t usually he’s a nannies boy so that’s strange to TIA

@lilcl95 I would wait a few days and test. Ive never had any bleeding at all. With a UTI do you always have pain/burning when you wee?

@Jessharlow81 when i have read sometimes implantation bleeding can be confused your period. Do you normally have short light periods? if not it may be worth testing?

@lauren2409 yeah if you're 10DPO and you're pain is implantation then you won't get a positive for a few days. I'll just wait and test on the day my period is due and see!

In terms of the pain and burning, it's usually a sign that it's a UTI. Everyone is different so I can't say for sure but that's how you can tell it's a UTI tbh. If you've just got a weird heavy feeling and some cramping then it seems more likely it's implantation.

@Lauren2409 I’ve done a test seems negative and it was weird because it was after my period and was only 3 days on and off I’ve just looked at the test from a couple of hours ago and there’s the faintest line but obviously it’s invalid now just wondered if what I had over the weekend could have possible been implantion been cramping a little and feel very wet down there sorry for the tmi I’ve been checked for infections etc all negative haven’t got a water infection either

@jessharlow81 I know what you mean about the wetness I'm the same i'm constantly checking and nothing there i cant explain why i'm feeling this. If theres a faint line i would wait a few days and do another one.

@lilcl95 i will give it a few days i don't want to get my hopes up. just the first month of trying that i've ever been like this a bit odd really. What day are you due? im the 11th

@Lauren2409 yeah I was the same last month (this is my 2nd month TTC) but this month im determined not to test early and be disappointment. Trying to convince myself that it's gonna take longer than a few months.
I'm supposed to be due 17th but I ovulated early I think? This is my first proper cycle after coming off the pill so I'm not sure what the length is. I ovulated on CD12 so worked out that I'm more likely to come on on the 14th

It looks like there is colour so I don’t think it’s an evap line either me and the oh did a test Saturday and there was again a vvvfaint line and I did one Monday and it looked like there was one to

@jessharlow81 that sounds really positive though! What were your symptoms like with your little boy? None of my friends have kids so im stuck on who to ask sorry.

@lilcl95 ive been actively trying since November but i have been off my pill for about 1 year OH works a way quiet a lot but hes home permanently now. I use the Ovia app to track everything its so helpful my cycle is regular as clock work.

Do you use OPKs?

@lauren2409 I don’t think i had any the day I was due on I just decided to do a test I asked a few friends and they said I was complaining about feeling sick and had headaches which I am now back then I didn’t take notice as I was actively trying

Still no AF for me this morning. Felt like I had cramping during the night so expected it to be here this morning but nothing as yet. Feeling a bit queezy. I’m now two days late so might buy a test later and do it tomorrow if still nothing.

@Lauren2409 I’ve got quite long cycles so always just assume it’ll be coming. I’m now on CD36, I’m usually 32/33. Last month it came on CD36 but I was sick with the flu and chest infection that week so assumed it was a bit late because of that. I’ve never been any longer than this so if it’s not here tomorrow I’ll test. Working all day today so hopefully take my mind off it for a while and stop symptom spotting every time I get a niggle.

@Lauren2409 I use Ovia too, I used to use Flo but Ovia has converted me. It's super helpful the way it counts down to testing day for you. Last cycle I didn't get on with OPKs at all, found they were always negative or low. This cycle I had a really strong cramping pain on my left side which I recognised as ovulation pain so took an OPK and it showed high LH so I guess it's useful if you have telltale signs that you're ovulating like the cramps I had.

I had mild cramping with both pregnancies and just ‘knew’ I was pregnant. Tested at 10 dpo with both and had vvfl.

@lilcl95 i used Flo and wasn't a fan i agree Ovia is so so helpful.
This is the first month i have used the OPKs and tbh it was spot on what the app said. I never get ovulation pain i only get period pain the day before im due so the OPKs were a great help and you can keep a log on the app too.

@lauren2409 it predicted me to ovulate on 4th Feb but I actually ovulated on 30th Jan but I haven't had a proper cycle for a while so I think Ovia just needs a few cycles so it can predict more accurately.
Also with the CM, I've had creamy CM this cycle but my dr said it could be down to the UTI so again it's a waiting game for me.

@lilcl95 I'm still wondering if i do have a UTI then ... however i'm not experiencing the same as before all pains in sides have gone and im feeling very achy/and heavy across the middle and lower part of my abdomen ... ive tried to get another doctors app but its still a 2 week wait.

It too Ovia a few cycles to work everything out properly for me.
