Faint line on ovulation test

Hi! I know this has been asked before but looking for some advice. I have been doing ovulation tests on and off for the last few months and never had a positive result. This morning I woke up and found that I had the ‘egg white’ discharge- so did an ovulation test. There was a faint line (yay!!)!

Could this mean I am ovulating? When would be best to start trying? Thanks!

OPKs need to have a test line as dark or darker than the control line for them to be positive.

Have you been testing throughout the day? I found I my peak was usually in the afternoon/evening and I was missing it by only testing in the morning.

I've noticed they get darker and darker for me. Yes, above reply was right in saying you need a test line as dark or darker than the control line for it to be classed as positive, but that doesn't mean you're not going to ovulate soon! Mine can be faint but then really dark after 4 or so hours. So I'd take another later or tomorrow morning and see what you get!

I have been testing since October and never had a positive until this month. I usually test around 5:30 /6:00 every evening and usually get a faint line, but this month I tested at 12pm one day and got a proper positive. It became lighter in the evening. I’d try testing 2/3 times a day to have your best chance at catching a strong positive ☺️ Good luck!

Hi @Memumo I know this thread is old but I am just wondering if you ended up getting pregnant with the faint line?
