Hello...I’m new to this...please bear with..
I’ve been TTC but under the rules of if it happens it happens....I’m 31...almost 32 and still waiting. I’m getting more worried I won’t fall pregnant. I’m came off the pill and implants may 2018 after being on them since I was 13yrs old. (17years) my periods are regulated 28 day cycle but nothing seems to be happing.. just seeking advice or friendly chats of TTC. Thank you

I've been trying also since around May last year, but nothing yet. I started with the same mind set of if it happens it happens, but it wasn't happening. So I started tracking everything on an app from about September, which has been a big help for me to understand what my body is going through!..but still nothing!

@Mellymooki perhaps download the app Flo which will help you learn when you are ovulating or you could get some ovulation tests to know when's best to DTD. Good luck Smile

Hello! I'm new to posting. I came off the pill in June 2019. I had been on it since I was 15 and now 34. I was starting with the relaxed approach and now just starting to worry. I've started using ovulation sticks to really try and figure out what's going on. I have been using the apps but I'm not sure they were correct.

Hang in there. We have been trying for 5yrs. Had an ectopic pregnancy last year. Then, out of the blue, I got pregnant in October. Touch wood, everything is going fine. I'm 36. Will be 37 when baby is born.

I had just come to terms over the summer that it wasn't happening. I changed my life based on this which in turn told a lot of stress out my life.

I recommend using the Ovia app along with Clearblue Ovulation Kits. You only need to use the kits for a while and keep the Ovia app updated. The app was spot on for me every month.

Wow @scotscubagirl that's incredible to hear!

@Mellymooki I sympathise fully. I'm just hitting three years in and it's hard! I feel like stress and worry has a lot to answer for.

Mellymooki · 05/01/2020 11:28

@ellelikespizza I currently use the flo app....I don’t think I use it right though, I literally log my period start and end date. I will occasionally put symptoms in but only if I remember to log it. I did use ovulation strips but became to obsessive with using and doubt I was doing it correctly. I don’t know when I log my first day of my period, literally when it changes I log it, I’ve read so many different articles.

@scotscubagirl wow, that’s amazing, it does happen it’s getting there first. I’d always thought I’d have children by time I’m 30, but have passed that.. I might check out that app, there so many and just don’t know which is best to use.

@Sshsecretenclosed I feel like the stress of trying to fall pregnant has a lot to answer towards it, but it’s so hard not to think about it. I try and find focus elsewhere instead of fretting about my period coming each month, but I get to the point where I’m like it’s definitely coming this month and it’s such a come down..

I came off my implant in July 2018, didn't get pregnant until (beginning) December 2019. This is with a regular 28 day cycle too! When I relaxed a little and stopped worrying too much, hey presto! (I'm 30)

Mellymooki · 05/01/2020 11:46

@EjkP how do you relax? I just can’t seem to switch my mind off from TTC.

@mellymooki I think I sort of "gave up" and didn't have "baby making sex", if that makes sense. Made plans to actively socialise (I don't mean go out out!) to take mind off it, and didn't have ovulation sex which can be boring and tedious. I was like you, the clock is ticking, I don't want to be an older Mum etc. Constantly tracking my periods and ovulation dates. Once I stopped worrying and adopted the old cliche, if it happens it happens, we got the shock of our lives! I think the more we stress, the more stress it puts on our bodies too. I'm probably babbling now but I hope that makes sense!!

Mellymooki · 05/01/2020 12:44

@EjkP it’s exactly the same as me..although we’ve been doing the terms if it happens it happens, since I stopped all contraception, we haven’t ever been having ovulation sex,(I didn’t want it to become tedious or stress my partner) it’s been like twice/three times in my fertile window which I know isn’t enough, but with our jobs we’re just too tired sometimes. I’m just getting more stressed with age, people keep telling me to take folic acid then I have those who tell me they’ve never taken it..I’m sure I’m babbling too haha.
