Hi there I’m just wondering if anyone else is suffering from the same problems as me right now,iv read lots of threads but are from years ago which doesn’t help right now.
I’m 34 with 2 DD’s me and husband are trying to conceive but I am currently going through my second chemical pregnancy in 2 months. Both around the same time.
The first was 4+3 did 8 pregnancy tests over the space of 5 days and all faint positives to then start to cramp and bleed and get a negative a day later.the gp sent me to the early pregnancy assessment unit they scanned both normal and internal but with been so early on couldn’t see anything anyway so put it down to chemical pregnancy which we thought it was just very unlucky for it then the happen again this time but I was 5+4 done 10 positive tests all different brands and started to get darker lines for the cramps to start yesterday and the shooting pains and bleeding today.with a negative result so another chemical pregnancy is anyone experiencing this around the same time each time around when period is due?and has anyone been given any help or answers?iv been told have to wait until it happens for the 4th time as 3 can be normal it’s so frustrating and sad not to mention painful.

Hello

So sorry to hear about your losses. I've been through similar and was referred to the Recurrent Miscarriage Unit. You shouldn't need to wait for 4th, you should be able to be referred now.
They did lots of blood tests and did find some antibodies. They now want a repeat test 12 weeks later to confirm a diagnosis. So do try to get it all going as the whole process can take months!
But the good news is, if they do find a problem, it is usually treatable with Steroids or Heparin (blood thinner). There is an Immune Issues thread here, which is full of women who've been found to have immune issues following recurrent miscarriages. Some are currently pregnant.
So please don't fear, you are not alone and hopefully the issue can be found and treated.Good luck x

Sorry for you losses.

Ive just gone through a CP after IVF so i know how shit it is.

Generally, you have to have had 3 consecutive losses to be referred to a Recurrent Miscarriage clinic.

Ive had my 4th loss last month (my 3rd loss was a twin pregnancy, lost the twin hut had a healthy baby but they still classed this as a loss)
I got refered at the start of the month and was lucky enough to log on to book at the right time and bag myself an app for the friday just gone, the next available was March!

Wow sorry to hear about your losses.
It’s just not right you have to go through this 3 times before someone steps in to help.i just don’t understand how ya can have healthy pregnancy’s then go through this.the pain and bleeding is worse for me this time round maybe with the extra week I was compared to last time.
I really hope you get some answers xx
