'Scuse crappy photos, hope you can see it properly! This just appeared in my inbox; I'm not trying to conceive, but I'd subscribed to this site when my vitamin D was low (I don't work for the organisation btw!) and their newsletters are occasionally v interesting. America is way ahead in its vitamin D research & guidelines, this seems to suggest that optimal vitD levels can aid in conception success, so thought I'd share just in case it helps someone!
Btw, NHS measures levels in nmol (America is ng) & optimal levels are now considered to be 100-150nmol, so do ask to actually see your levels if you get tested. NHS guidelines seem to range from 55-75nmol, depending on region, and docs are notorious for failing to recognise D deficiency/insufficiency unless you're in the rickets range (I was 67nmol and still had symptoms). Have also learnt that results from supplementing are improved if you add vitamin K2MK7, elemental magnesium & boron to the mix.*
*am obvs not a doctor so pls don't start supplementing until you know your levels, and then do so sensibly! (Unless you're severely deficient, 5000iu p/d with adequate cofactors to prevent calcification is recommended). X
