Can anyone have a wee look at my cycle lengths please?

So dh and I have been trying for a baby for just over a year. I've just turned 31. Have been to the doctor about ttc and she did some blood tests and found out I have an under active thyroid. Got put on thyroxine and told to keep an eye on my cycle length and to go back after 6-9 months of further trying if still not success Have been keeping check on it from December last year (using the ava bracelet) and the cycles seem to be a bit different every month. Can someone take a look and tell me if you think it's something to worry about or if you think they are irregular?

Dec- 29 days
Jan- 34 days
Feb- 28 days
Mar- 37 days (got a faint + on test)
Apr- 31 days
May- 33 days
June- 28 days (got put on thyroxine)
July- 31 days
Aug- 28 days
Sept- 29 days
Oct- 31 days

Since being put on the thyroxine, I have found my flow to be all over the place. Most months they are normal and the odd month they can be very heavy. Is this normal. With thyroxine? The doctor didn't explain in too much detail of what defines irregular periods, so I'm wondering what you all think?

Thank you for reading Smile

I'm no expert but apart from one, which may have been an anovulatory cycle, they look pretty regular to me. Really you need to be looking at the Lutal Phase though as that shouldn't really change too much even if your pre ovulation phase changes.

They look fine and perfectly normal! The one in March looks like a chemical pregnancy if you have a faint positive then slightly later period. Sad but very common with underactive thyroid, so great that you’re being treated. You need to aim for TSH of 2 or below. Search this board for “optimal thyroid level” as there’s a comprehensive recent thread that’s very useful.

As your thyroid settles you shouldn’t get a too heavy flow.

If you’re using the bracelet, the BBT data will tell you more. Keep your eye on your LP. And read Toni Whechsler’s book for guidance.

Best of luck!

Thank you both so much for replying. I'm glad to hear that my cycles look normal! Can you tell me a bit more about the LP? What is it, and what should I be looking for?

I use an app on my fone to track my periods and it must be accurate as both times I have been pregnant, my 'suggested' dates on the app have been a couple of days out.

The LP is the time from when you ovulate until AF starts. This is usually the same every month. Normally from 10-16 days. If you LP is different every month then you need to see a GP

They look pretty similar to mine hun xx

Hmmm have just had a look at the Luteal phases for each cycle and they do vary, between 10 and 19 days. That doesn't sound too promising if they are meant to be the same 😞 the doctor gave me 6-9 months for my thyroid to settle and its been most 6 months. Do you think it could still take more time for it to settle or should I just book in the the doctor now?
