TTC after implant removal

Hi everyone!
My husband and I are trying for baby no 2 currently. I had my implant removed under general anaesthetic last month and I was coincidentally due on my period that day. After coming out of hospital my period never came. Me and my partner have been dtd regularly through the following weeks.
I was due on again 4 days ago and still nothing. I took a test the day of the missed period but it came back negative. Should I take another one? I’m worried my cycle has been all messed up with having my implant out. The nurse did tell me my fertility would return to normal almost straight away.
I’ve been having a few symptoms the same as my 1st pregnancy but I really don’t want to get my hopes up just yet.
Has anyone else conceived following an implant removal who could give me any advice/ settle my mind a little? Thanks a lot!

I believe it can take a month or so for cycles to regulate. For some people it can take even longer but I think that's a tiny percentage.

Why was it a general anaesthetic? I'm considering getting mine removed but thought it was straightforward.

I was expecting something by now. I've had 3 implants previous to this one and when I had the one removed to have my first baby, my period came back with a vengeance straight away. It's all very odd.

It is usually a straight forward procedure but mine got embedded so couldn't be done under a local. All my others came out fine.
