Bleeding after chemical

I've had what I think is a chemical pregnancy (faint positives, bleeding started 6 days after AF due and still got faint positive yesterday) I started bleeding on Wednesday, it was bright red and a medium flow, yesterday I had lots of blood when I wiped then today I've stopped bleeding. I was expecting it to be like a heavier period, does this sound normal?

Hi, sorry to hear about your chemical. I had similar, started bleeding a week after AF due. At first it was very light and it was on and off, then it was very heavy, but again it was on and off, not as consistent as with a normal period. It lasted longer too, 9 days as opposed to my usual 4 days. I think it's all normal, it's not going to be exactly the same as a normal period. But if you're worried at any stage see your GP.

@Overthinker1988 Thanks, so far I've only had 2 days of bleeding lighter than a normal period and now nothing. How long after your chemical did it take for you to get your next AF?

It's only just happened (bleeding is now easing off after 9 days) so I don't know yet...I don't imagine there will be a massive disturbance to my cycle though, as the pregnancy was so short-lived.

I've had 3 chemicals. All of them were pretty light bleeding except for 1 day. I'm so sorry you are going through this. Hugs.

@Whyhaveidonethis Thanks, sorry to hear you've been through it too. How long did it take for your cycles to return to normal after?

They returned to normal immediately each time.
