Moving on from the October threads, join in those that will be testing at the end of November. (Which also happens to be my birthday!)

@Ellsbells112 that sounds very odd. Could be IBS. Have you eaten something different that could have upset your digestive system?

@Skygirl1983 that's good news to wake up to on this thread, hope he's game for the rest of the weekend, if he can just do tomorrow at the least that would be fantastic I reckon if your fertile/ovulation period is now.

I do think it wouldnt be a bad thing to fall pregnant next month, in December, as actually I realized that then they would be a September baby so oldest in the year group at school.

Plus alcohol over Christmas obviously💃

nt1992 · 08/11/2019 09:44

This isn't letting me post photos 🤦🏽‍♀️

Ellsbells112 · 08/11/2019 09:56

@ChampooPapi aww my son is a September baby, hes so lovely honestly and it helps that hes the oldest in the year especially for boys! Xx

Skygirl1983 · 08/11/2019 10:20

@ChampooPapi I should be peaking over the weekend so fingers crossed I can get some more out of him!! I'm using Preseed this month too so I'm extra hopeful! We have his parents staying for xmas so it would be lovely to tell them then. The not drinking doesn't bother me as we have stopped drinking anyway.

@Skygirl1983 great news 😊 glad things have picked up. No ovulating for me yet, my peak days should be around Monday/Tuesday but let's see. I've switched to the clearblue ovulation tests now, from what I read it seems like it needs to get used to detecting levels of the chemical in your body and it's good to use it once a day every morning. Hmm let's see

Skygirl1983 · 08/11/2019 10:58

@mellymoo86 I'm still using the easy@home ones but struggling with putting them on the premom app so just going by the lines on the strip. But date wise all my trackers say this weekend. If I dont get a bfp this month I'll try the CB digital ones. I usually feel my ovulation too as I get pain so will be looking out for that. How do we all feel about it this month though? Are we more relaxed? Other than the lack of action in general I'm feeling more relaxed about it all. I'm not going to obsess too my after OV.

@Skygirl1983 ah that's good you feel ovulation. I haven't really been paying attention to that other than the last two months and so far I haven't really felt anything during that time. I'm using the clearblue sticks because the cheap strips aren't accurate for me. I've noticed that the line never gets darker than the control line so sometimes I'm guessing if I am or not. I don't want to dtd when I'm not supposed to and waste any valuable sperm lol. I would have dtd today for example and both tests came back negative so we didn't. But then sperm lives for a few days so you can I guess.

I'm feeling a lot more relaxed this month. My first month was a bit of a trial and error and lots of learning. I think I'm in the mind frame of when it happens it happens, so let's just see how it goes.

Skygirl1983 · 08/11/2019 11:21

@mellymoo86 yeah sometimes it can be quite painful. I am more aware of it now since I have been tracking. Yesterday was the first day of my fertile window so figure that if sperm lives for a few days dtd a good few times during that window should catch something! Are you trying preseed this month too?

I'm in a similar frame of mind as you too. I think the more pressure you put on it happening the more disappointed you are when it doesn't.

mellymoo86 · 08/11/2019 11:30

@Skygirl1983 my fertile window started today - cycle day 12. It's hard to know when to do it as I don't want to do it for no reason so that's why I thought let me use the clearblue sticks. It identifies your fertile days prior to your peak period. Whilst before if the line was faded I would think I wasn't ovulating at all. 🤷🏽‍♀️They say to do it every other day. So in our case Friday, Sunday and Tuesday.

Yeah I am using preseed and also giving the soft cup a go. It's so weird...was practising putting it in the other day and had a panic moment that it wouldn't come out 😂 but it did thankfully lol. Did you use preseed today?

Skygirl1983 · 08/11/2019 11:37

My predicted OV day is Tuesday so I'm going to try and dtd tomorrow and Monday and if I'm lucky Tuesday! But I doubt I'll be that lucky! Haha!! What is a soft cup??

@Skygirl1983 I'm feeling quite relaxed so far, looking like my peak will be today or tomorrow so going to be a fun filled weekend! Glad you are feeling brighter 🌟

@ChampooPapi know exactly what you mean about having a September baby rather than August. My eldest son has just turned 18, born on 8 August. He spent the whole first half of the year watching all his mates go clubbing without him! I'd much rather have a September baby (not that I'll turn down an August one!) 🤣

mellymoo86 · 08/11/2019 13:01

@Skygirl1983 it's normally used for menstruation. Eco friendly etc. But women also use it to basically keep as much sperm up and close to the cervix as possible after dtd.

Skygirl1983 · 08/11/2019 13:22

Ah like a moon cup?? Good idea. I didn't move after we dtd last night! Haha

I don't know what's going on with me, these tests aren't getting any stronger, I feel like I can still see shadows but not enough to catch on photos. My boobs are sore. I'm totally fed up now

nt1992 · 08/11/2019 14:54

I feel like I new a first response 🤷🏽‍♀️

Skygirl1983 · 08/11/2019 15:05

@nt1992 how many dpo are you? If its early I wouldn't go stressing yourself out over it too much. if its positive it will get stronger. I know that's easier said than done but you'll drive yourself mad constantly testing. Give it a couple of days and re test then

OP posts:
nt1992 · 08/11/2019 15:27

@Skygirl1983 I know I shouldn't test so early but because i can see shadows in them all I keep hoping they'll get darker. Is it normal for them to be darker in them late afternoon/evening than morning? I'm 8 DPO

Skygirl1983 · 08/11/2019 15:42

8 dpo is still very early. It's tough too when you can see something there. I have read loads of different things, some saying first morning wee, some saying early evening is better. I suppose its different for everyone. Cycle one I had convinced myself I was pregnant, tested like mad and there was nothing there. If you can, distract yourself a bit over the weekend and try again on Monday. You'll be 11 dpo and more likely to see a better positive. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xx
