Hi all! So just a question, i stopped the pill in september 2018. Since then i have had 9 periods all ranging from 39-45 days. This month (roughly a year stopping the pill) i have had a 31 day period and i moticed alot of ewcm 14 days before! Does this mean a year after stopping the pill my body is finally regulating itself?

@Diamond94 - haha I know I was exactly the same and now praying for it not to arrive again.

Our bodies are such weird things Grin

@MrsERH
Makes you wonder why we took the pill for 10years trying to prevent pregnancy! 😂
Have you tried opk's?

MrsERH · 21/11/2019 15:37

@Diamond94 - exactly! Feel a bit silly now for waiting so long to come off it!

I did the Clear Blue smiley ones this month just to make sure I was ovulating and I got a circle the first day then flashing smileys after that but no solid one. Have a feeling I did the first one wrong as didn't read the instructions correctly and didn't do it first thing! Will see when AF and might try them again next month. Just trying not to put on too much pressure

Have you?

Hi @Diamond94, I came off microgynon middle of September the had withdrawal bleed as normal then nothing for 7 weeks... light bleed/spotting for about 5 days at the start of this month so I'm hoping for some sort of cycle now? If I was a perfect 28 day cycle, I should ovulate within the next few days so I've started OPKs today even though I've really got no idea if my body knows what it's doing... fingers crossed something happens for you soon, it's so frustrating isn't it! Patience is not a strong point of mine Grin

Diamond94 · 21/11/2019 17:12

@MrsERH i done a couple throughout the month, but not regularly, have started doing them daily this past week just to see whats going on.

Diamond94 · 21/11/2019 17:16

@bluebell94 hi 👋🏼 fingers crossed for this month for you then! Its so frustrating isnt it.. iv felt nauseous all day today 🙄

@Diamond94 @MrsERH
I’m also planning on coming off cerazette either this month or next after being on it for 10 years. Did you get any side effects from coming off the pill? and when did you start experiencing them? X

Diamond94 · 21/11/2019 19:23

@1987Nic hi 👋🏼
Iv not been too bad, alot of people seem tl get pregnancy like symptoms! Sore boobs, tired.. tmi but my main side effect was diarrhoea for about 5 days 😫

1987Nic · 21/11/2019 19:31

Hi Smile
Oh really, I don’t think I’ve came across that as a side effect before but I’m glad you have shared that it’s a possibility. Im debating coming off the pill next month now as I’m off work for two weeks at the end of my next pack of pills so might be better if I experience any side effects straight away.

Diamond94 · 21/11/2019 20:33

@1987Nic yeah that could be a good idea while you're off.. good luck 🤞🏼

1987Nic · 21/11/2019 20:51

Aw thank you, good luck to you too.

MrsERH · 21/11/2019 21:16

@1987Nic similar to @Diamond94 really. Hugely sore boobs which I never had through being on cerazette. I also seem to have developed baby brain without being pregnant (especially in a dance class I do I can’t remember one step to the next when before I was fine!)

Diamond94 · 22/11/2019 08:35

@MrsERH oh im so glad I wasn't the only one with baby brains minus the baby 🙈 i kept driving to the wrong side of the petrol pump to where my cap is 😂

1987Nic · 22/11/2019 19:31

Oh goodness to the baby brain, suppose it will get us used to it. Did you both finish a full pack of pills before stopping or stop part of the way through a pack?

Diamond94 · 22/11/2019 20:26

@1987Nic i was on cerazzete so you dont take a break, so half way through a pack.. what about you?

1987Nic · 22/11/2019 21:24

Sorry for all of the questions. I was planning on coming off just as I needed to start a new pack but I’ve just started a new one today so planning to come off 19th December when I’m due to start the next.

MrsERH · 23/11/2019 23:03

I finished the pack but only as as the time I didn’t want to run the risk of a period starting within a week. Should really have stopped a month earlier haha

1987Nic · 24/11/2019 17:09

Ah it’s good that you have stopped now. Let me know how you get on.

Herjbr26 · 26/04/2020 16:35

Hi I was wondering if and looking for advice I started the pill about July 2018 - April/may 2019 I have had the first “fake period” that u get when u finish the pill then I went a while without the had one in June my prom. then I spotted in August and September I think and November I had brown discharge for 2/3 days then I had the same discharge 21-24th April but the first day it was pink then got a little red in it then went brown when I checked my knickers and have had nothing since then, is this normal? and any advice how to regulate/get my period back? I’m not pregnant as I took a test I just don’t fancy going to the doctor I have bad anxiety and don’t want to be getting needles and tested unless I really need to ! I was just seeing if you know anything to bring it back? Before I do end up having to book an appointment many thanks.
