Ovulation day - 2ww just starting

I'm apparently ovulating today according to peak clearblue yesterday and my apps.
I never used to have such a long luteal phase as it was only 10 days so having to wait for 14 is going to drive me nuts 🙈

@lauraliverpool I'm confused who is annoyed at the lack of hanky panky?

Confusingly me and DH have been at it like rabbits - for us - this week. Every other day! All before my fertile period so plenty of time for us to hit a drought though! 🙄🙄🙄

Today was supposed to be the first day of my fertile period but I managed to fail the opk test - will leave it til tomorrow now.

@TigerJoy lol it's me that's a bit annoyed trying to explain to hubby how's there's only so many days each month that's the chance of pregnancy.
Ooh sounds promising! We did on two days of high and one day of Peak so hopefully there will be a chance. It's hard sometimes trying to remember doing opks on top of everything else. X

Tbh that sounds like enough in the fertile window! Nhs recommends every other day for a 5-6 window and once on peak is great. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞🤞

I remembered to do opk but I literally "failed"...@%#& ...said do again but I had finished peeing! 🤣🤣🤣

Here's hoping so 🤞🤞🤞I've done that before and only realised when was down to the last dribble haha 😂😂

I reckon I'm 6dpo today. No idea why im even pretending im in the game. I reckon at best we only managed it the day of ovulation and I cant even know for sure since I'd stopped my opks.

Oh and as for symptom spotting I've noticed my sense of smell is insane (but that's nothing new), I'm crampy and achey, sore hips and tired.
All of which are normal on the run up to af anywho.

Here's hoping@Treaclepie19 you never know might just have timed it right. This ovulation business is so hard to get your head around, mind boggling springs to mind.

I'm not sure how any of it can be an exact science because you don't know what the swimmers do! Apparently they can reach the egg within 30 mins or can hang around for days...up to 5 days I think?!

I need to chill out really. Just as the months go on I'm desperate now to have a little sibling for our son. He doesn't know about his little brother that we lost. I just keep thinking it's been nearly a year since he was born and what mischief he'd be up to. Then comes the guilt because it was a termination for medical reasons so I start doubting myself.

Anyway, time for a coffee and get some stuff done while my 4yo is at nursery.

@Treaclepie19 that's what I'm trying to do. Feeling exactly the same as the months go on, my little boy is too young to know about our losses, something made me feel sad the other day cause he keeps talking about his little sister, we never knew the sexes of the babies but I was told by a medium that I think two of them were girls and they know that I'm their mummy and when we were in a shop the lady said have you got any brothers or sisters and again he said a sister. You made one of the most difficult decisions but you did it with love. Xx

@TigerJoy I wish you could see what the swimmers do lol and get to where they need to be!. I've read they can live up to 5 days in the car right environment. Ooh get DTD tonight then if possible. Xx

@Treaclepie19 that is so hard but you did the right thing. I heard someone else who also terminated for medical reasons say it was the first and hardest decision they made as a mum, and it's true.

Fingers crossed for everyone if not this month then maybe next!

I'm confused. Just got peak fertility on opk this morning but that seems really early...I'm only day 13. I tested monday then didn't manage yesterday. Do you think it could be wrong because I missed a day?

Luckily we dtd yesterday but I might struggle to persaude dh to do so again today as he has to do the sperm test this morning before our fertility appt as well...i don't want him to feel like he's on a stud farm...

Not sure @TigerJoy it might have been high yesterday or peak, I got peak on day 13 too think it depends on long your cycle is. I find ringing the helpline on clear blue is helpful and when I did they even sent out a box of ovulation tests to me for nothing.

@TigerJoy how long are your cycles normally? You may be having a shorter one?

I'm on cd22 now, not long to go! Feeling very crampy so just waiting for af to show, probably on Friday.

Thanks guys, my cycles vary slightly but they're on the shorter side - 27-29 days usually.

I am having really painful cramps and ibs-d which is a sign of ovulation for me, so it might well be right!

Yes hooray for ovulation but no way is hanky panky happening this evening. Both dh and I are feeling pants! Let's hope last night and tomorrow will be ok...

Girls this is on the Flo app, does anyone know why some days are in grey?

I dont use it I'm afraid but is it because you've put spotting in for those days? Because they havent counted as a new cycle. Day 1 is normally counted as proper flow.
