What else can we do?!

Been TTC #2 (our first together) for coming on 10 months now.

My periods are like clockwork, they arrive exactly when they are supposed to and my cycle days are always 28/29 days. I can tell when I'm ovulating as I track my HR and EWCM. We have sex often around my fertile period and use Pre-seed lube.

Is there anything else at all we can do? I've been very relaxed up until now but I'm getting at the point where I feel like everything is on hold and I'm getting more and more anxious that it's "our month". AF arrived today and I just feel so deflated.

Please MNers, is there anything else we can try or do we need to go and get tests done?!

Do you do ovulation tests as some people find they ovulate a lot earlier or later than they thought, even though you are tracking your egg white mucus, maybe worth a try?

Yes I can go back to doing OPK's. I found they added a fair bit of pressure last time but we are feeling like that anyway!

So when I use the OPK's and get two dark lines which I believe is a positive, do I have sex as soon as I see the two dark lines or is there a time period I should wait? I'm unsure.

Thanks so much for replying!

I would do the deed the day you see a positive test and try for the day after to be sure? They're pricy but maybe try the clear blue ones as you'll get a static smiley face so you defo know the test is positive. I know testing can make it feel more pressured but at least you'll know you've timed it right, which I suppose in a way kinda takes some pressure off, ttc can be so hard can't it x

I'm not sure the NHS would do tests until you've been trying for a year (though might be worth asking anyway), but you can privately request a well-woman fertility check that everything is working for around £300, at your local fertility clinic.
Not that you need to worry just yet of course - but I did this at the start of trying to conceive just to ally my fears...!
Good to know that all the hormones are function etc etc
