Taking longer to conceive second time round

I'm 33, and currently TTC cycle 5 for DC1. We conceived cycle 2 for DC1 but it seems to be taking longer the second time. I know 5 months isn't long at all, but I'm very impatient and I feel very emotional every time AF comes Blush

Potentially relevant: I'm still breastfeeding LOTS, but have been having regular periods so assume I'm ovulating. I did OPKs last month for the first time, and think I got a positive around day 17.

Anyone else been in similar shoes? What helped in the end? I'm thinking of doing the SMEP...

Thank you.

@Momo01 weaning was very much a process rather than an event for us,I'd say about 3-4 months of gradually cutting down feeds and using distraction. He never asked again from the day of his last feed. Nearly all of my friends got regnant when breastfeeding but sadly it just didn't work for me - so definitlely an obvious thing to rule out

If it helps, there is obviously a longer age gap between my boys than we hoped for (just under 3 years) but they absolutely adore each other
