Hello everyone,

Was due AF on Tuesday 10th. Would've been 13dpo. I tested on a cheapie and got an obvious positive result. Went out and got some clearblue digi and Asda ownbrands. CB digi was pregnant 1-2 wks Tuesday evening. On weds the Asda tests results were hardly visible with FMU and digi 1-2 wks again. Thursday FMU Asda test was a little darker than day before. This morning Asda test was barely visible, had to squint.

I've had CP before so that's why I'm nervous. Just have a gut feeling that something is wrong.
But has there ever been similar cases where everything has turned out ok?

Hiya
Just wondering how this ended up for you? I have had positive tests and asda on this morning really light. I do feel like af on its way though x

Hello, I have done 3 Asda tests during the last 5 days and they have been faint but quite obvious but not getting gradually darker as I'd expect. My DH has hidden the last Asda test as he thinks I'm getting a bit obsessive Blush

I'm planning to do another test on Wednesday. As it will be over a week since I missed my period, I would expect there to be a darkish line. We'll see.

I've since also read reviews on Asda tests and the general consensus is that they are unreliable Confused

It’s a long time since I was doing pg tests, but my understanding was that a positive was a positive. The strength of the line doesn’t mean anything, it’s still a line. Step away from the tests and enjoy being pg.

I’m afraid when this happened to me it was a chemical - but for me they actively got fainter so I knew.

I’ve also had false positives on the Asda own brand.

@Maryann1975
I guess that's true but I have had a chemical in the past where the tests never got darker. Seeing the tests get darker give me a bit of reassurance.

I also had a false positive on asda tests.

I absolutely hate Asda’s tests. Even when getting really good lines on everything else they took forever to get a strong line. I would definitely try a different brand. Even the freedom test in Asda I found far better than their own!

I’ve had friends who had false positives on the ASDA tests.

I'm not an expert but I thought it was more down to how much dye there was in a test. I think if you were going to have a chemical, it would have happened by now.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to test again on Wednesday on a non-Asda test, probably a clearblue digi. That should tell me in black and white.

Hi @pottypotamus - just wondering how this turned out? Have done 3 asda tests over the past 3 days and they're not getting any darker.... I have suffered 2 MMC and had a chemical 2 months ago so I'm nervous. Thank you.
