Before anyone passes judgement or says I'm so desperate to be pregnant that I'm imagining it, for the record I have just given birth 9 months ago.

For around 4 months now I've been feeling pregnant. I'm bloated, when napping during the day, having headaches and have just today felt weird flutters in my womb that I only experienced during my pregnancy last year. The hpt's I've taken have been negative but about 3 of them have shown very faint positives (because of my period still coming I have ignored them). I've still been having my periods but last month it came 6 days early which is not usual for me.

I know it sounds silly given that I'm still having my cycle and haven't had a proper positive hpt, but like I said, I have a young baby and am actually not trying to get pregnant. Any thoughts would be most welcome.

This morning I did a test and in person I can see another vvvvfl, it's hard to get on the camera.

I would suggest going to the doctor. People on the internet won't be able to tell you if you are pregnant or not.

Are you breastfeeding?

katewhinesalot · 12/09/2019 08:14

I can't see anything. Could it just be tiredness and stress? You can feel all sorts when you focus on one part of the body.
See a gp about your symptoms.

That’s a negative test.

SinkGirl · 12/09/2019 08:18

Ever since my twins were born 3 years ago I’ve had flutters that felt like baby movements - some even like kicks! Apparently it’s to do with your brain associating normal sensations of bowels functioning etc with that because you’ve experienced it before.

I’m in a not dissimilar situation - I have ME but my fatigue has been awful, my periods have become much shorter and I’m leaking breastmilk. Tests all negative and I’d have to be months pregnant.

I’m seeing doctor next week so I would do the same. That test definitely looks negative to me.

PurpleDaisies · 12/09/2019 08:18

Sorry, posted by accident. What contraception are you using? The pill can make you feel pregnant. Having a 9 month old baby can make you feel tired enough to make you think you’re pregnant.

mariarosa1991 · 12/09/2019 08:48

Thanks guys. I stopped breastfeeding my LO at 6 months and hadn't been using any contraception because of the breastfeeding. I think I'm going to book a well woman scan or something just to have a look and see if I may have an underlying problem anywhere in pelvic region, something is definitely off!

Does that mean you’re not using any contraception now? Surely that needs sorting at the GP (unless you want another baby).

OurChristmasMiracle · 12/09/2019 08:51

I would book the scan just to check everything Is ok if you don’t feel right and you can afford to it. There’s no harm in getting a health MOT and at least it will put your mind to rest.

TwinsTrollsandHunz · 12/09/2019 08:56

Go to the GP or your local sexual health clinic for a test and some expert advice re contraception. Do not rely on breastfeeding for contraception if you definitely do not want to be pregnant again. 100% bf can act as a contraceptive but do not rely on it, get on another method ASAP.

mariarosa1991 · 12/09/2019 08:57

@SinkGirl That's strange! I hope the drs are able to give you some answers! X

@TwinsTrollsandHunz @PurpleDaisies we've just been relying on condoms since I stopped BF, although I don't think it's very safe proof, once I get to know if everything's ok after a scan I will definitely be going on something

After my second birth (vbac) I felt flutters to regularly, especially around the week before af turns up. I saw a dr about it as I assumed I was going crazy. It was just gas. Normal gas but it was very reassuring to be told I'm not crazy. Your body parts have not moved straight back to where they were originally. So it is normal to feel things in slightly different places.
