LH surge; have I been stupid all along?!

Right so. LH surge predicts you will likely ov within 24-36 hours.

So if you get a near positive opk then they start to get lighter, you may have just missed the surge and there’s potentially no point in continuing to test?

After I get a near positive i keep testing thinking man I should have had a positive by now, but maybe I’m well past my surge and have either ovulated already or it’s just about to happen. I swear I ov at night as have never “caught” a start positive on an opk.

Does this make any sense to anyone? I feel like it was a lightbulb moment but I may just be trying to make myself feel better lol.

@Chefwifelife when you get near positive, dtd straight away. I only get a positive opk the day I ovulate, not before. In fact, last cycle I had faints even up to the day before and 12 hours later a blazing positive.

I’m pretty sure today is my ov day and we’ve dtd so much my poor DH is shattered! Maybe I can entice him once more and have a rest!

I’ve got pregnant lots of times relying on them and found I could have quite a strong line, then nothing, then a medium line, light line, positive. However, some women say they have a gradual build up but that’s never been my experience.

I’d advise to use them at least daily for most of your cycle for a few cycles to figure out how your body works.
