Hi
Had 2 faint positive pregnancy tests - Tesco own brand
Anyone had this and they turn out to be right. TTC but finding it hard to believe

False positives are much less likely than false negatives.

Get an early response test if you want another one.

Don't get a digital as if you're early on it won't detect it. Waste of money IMO - just a marketing thing as people like to see the actual words but they're expensive and less sensitive than many line tests.

A cautious congratulations!

Why do you find it hard to believe?

inwood · 05/09/2019 10:55

A positive is a positive, doesn't matter where it's from!

CTRL · 05/09/2019 10:56

Why don’t you go to your GP to be sure then ?

KittenMittens1 · 05/09/2019 10:57

Have you got a picture?

Go to your gp To confirm

Hi OP, sorry to jump onto your thread like this but we just wanted to let you know that we've moved it over to the Conception topic, where you'll no doubt get some really useful support and advice.

We've got everything crossed for you!

GPs use cheap strip tests, same as you'd buy off Amazon. They don't have special pregnancy tests or pregnancy divining skills.

Waste of your time and the GP's (unless you're totally skint and can't afford another test).

Just get another type of test if you feel you need confirmation.

Coffee345 · 05/09/2019 11:49

@timegoingtoofast the OP didn't mention going to the GP? Don't you think your post was a little harsh?

timegoingtoofast · 05/09/2019 11:55

Coffee345 it wasn't meant as harsh, sorry if it came across like that.

It was meant as practical advice as other posters are telling the OP to go to the GP, which would be a waste of her time. But if she's new to this TTC malarkey she might not know that.
