How do I stop - symptom spotting

Hi all

How do I stop myself from symptom spotting?

Last night I thought to myself that I was rather thirsty and then thought, maybe that's a pregnancy sign.

In reality, I was thirsty as I'd eaten a large bag of salt and vinegar crisps

I am on day 69 this cycle so it's getting me down

Help please

I'd like to know this too as I'm an absolute nightmare when it comes to symptom spotting. Whenever I key anything into google, it thinks I'm searching for pregnancy symptoms so autofills it for me!

Me too. I think anything can be a pregnancy symptom if we want it to be. Then we get bfn's

Today I have lower backache, heartburn, flutters in stomach, struggling to concentrate, tired. All of which I'm sure can be rationally explained but my head is saying they are all pregnancy symptoms! Help!

If you’re on day 69 have actually taken a test?

I found that I used to only symptom spot before my period was due not afterwards. You'll actually notice that you have similar random sensations and things like twinges after your period but we don't pay attention to these during infertile times. So basically once you start being observant at all times of your cycle you'll notice that nothing is a guaranteed symptoms.

Hopefully greater awareness of this will help you write off 'symptoms' during the potential pregnancy window.

This means you need to rule out pregnancy this time - pregnancy test next step? Hopefully you get a doctor to find out why you have long cycles of you haven't done this already.

@Whatelsecouldibecalled

I have taken lots of tests. All negative

@ChatWithMe

Thanks. Yes I think I would be able to spot 'symptoms' that regularly happen if I had regular periods but unfortunately mine are all over the place. This is my longest cycle so far and still no sign of AF

I have had tests done and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. I'm waiting for results back from a hysteroscopy. Unfortunately as I'm overweight there's nothing they can do atm but I am losing weight so hopefully that will help

Just wish I could stop myself from thinking every 'symptom' is a sign of pregnancy

Oh I see. That must be stressful. Good luck with your health goals x

Honestly save yourself the headache if you can. I symptom spotted for years but when I was actually pregnant I had absolutely hardly any before AF other than some cramping and the sore boobs and that’s usually the case for AF too. Proper symptoms don’t really start until after. It just wrecks your head. Although it’s easier said than done sometimes x

@Ginmonkey84

Going to try my best to keep myself busy
