Hi Ladies! I hope some of you can please help me, as I am unsure of what to do here. I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks in April and had a D&C. I had a period 6 weeks later and have had regular periods since. However, I have not ovulated since - in fact I have had positive ovulation strips every day since. Anyone with the same issue? All advice appreciated! Thank you xxx

Speak to your gp who can prescribe norehisterone to restart your cycle and ask for full bloods to be carried out.
It's seems strange you would get constant positive opks but not actually ovulate.

Good luck

@michellebops thank you! Was hesitating going to GP as I didn't want to be over reacting - advice much appreciated x

I'm
Sure you can also get chlomid to assist.

Good luck x

It's unusual to get positive opks for so long? I'd probably try a pregnancy test and then see the GP. They might be able to run some blood tests.

I'm sorry for your loss, I had a mmc in April at 9 weeks 😢

@VenusStarr I am sorry for your loss too. I hope you are taking care of yourself.

It's the weirdest thing getting positive OPKs for so long - my cycles pre D&C were always bang on time.

Unfortunately I am not pregnant as I am having monthly periods. My last resort was to come on this forum and see if anyone has had the same issue, as the Internet hasn't been able to tell me much. I think I will wait a few months and then see the doc, as my body obviously needs time to recover and find its rhythm again...so maddeningly slow and frustrating!

So sorry for your loss. I had a mmc at 10 weeks in March and it was very upsetting.

May I ask what is it that’s making you think you’re not ovulating? If you’re having regular normal periods then the likelihood is you are ovulating. Anovulatory cycles are common after a miscarriage but you don’t tend to have proper periods with them- they tend to be more like breakthrough bleeds/spotting. Your doctor can run a day 21 progesterone test to see if you’ve ovulated. You’re quite right, the hormones can take a while to settle- a mmc I had last year took 6 months but eventually did calm down. But it’s quite easy and common for a doctor to order the day 21 test so if you’re worried don’t hesitate to go sooner.

I would also take a pregnancy test as sometimes ovulation tests can pick up the hcg and give out positives. Also some women can have bleeding which they mistake for their period so it would be useful to rule it out.
