Flo App - Success Stories?

Hi all! I came off depo provera in April and had my first 6 day bleed 24th July - 29th July.

Flo has predicted me to be ovulating from 31st July to 10th August, with 6th August being my best chance to conceive.

I was wondering how accurate people have found Flo's predictions? We have DTD on CD 11 and CD12 and will aim to do it tomorrow too as it has predicted this is the best time.

Is there another way that people have tracked their ovulation without buying OPK's?

Any stories welcome please. Fingers crossed this month is the one!

Inaccurate at all. Sorry, I don't trust their predictions. My cycle is 26 days and the ovulation doesn't happen anywhere near where they expect it to. Also I don't like that the info I post (eg ovulation test negative) doesn't make it postpone its predictions. So the app is not perfect

@NavyBerry thanks for commenting. Do you have any ideas what I can use to know when I'm ovulating?

I use OPKs, also just observing the changes in your body if you are sensitive could be quite reliable. Never bothered with temperature...Always forget))

Just ordered some OPK strips from Amazon if we don't catch this month!

Ive just bought some ovulation strips, apparently apps are only a guide.

Ive got 4 apps on the go which are glow, flo, ovia and premom

Premom goes with the easy@home ovulation strips i bought of amazon, very reasonable price too

Baby dust to you!

Flo is the only app I used when TTC. I found it to be very accurate. My AF always appeared on the predicted day or day after. And my ovulation symptoms always matched when it said I was about to ovulate. I only went with the info it told me and never used OPKs and I am now 7 weeks pregnant after our first month of properly trying. The more information you put in daily, the more accurate it is. Good luck to you!

I used Ovia when TTC, used it before I had my implant out just to track periods as I had never kept up with them before, then conceived DD within 2 months of implant coming out! I now use both Ovia and Flo just for period tracking (have the copper coil for now) as thought it might help predictions to be more accurate when we decide to TTC again!

Premom is my choice. I have tried many apps like flo, ovia and Premom finally. I think Premom is most accurate in reading my OPKs and predicate the ovulation.

Sweetpea12 · 13/08/2019 09:01

Does anyone know how to change the ovulation prediction on Premom mine is going by last months period so I’ve been testing this week for ovulation but all negative so it’s showing on the app I’m 2 DPO when I’m not Confused

I use Flo but only for tracking and recording info. I find it's rubbish at predicting! But my cycles are still changing / irregular after being on the pill so nothing will help me predict! What I do find an app useful for is recording data and then looking for patterns myself. I would recommend using opks to help you. I think premon has an opk "reading" feature which might be helpful. Clearblue digital opk is what I use. They are clear and easy to read but expensive.

jadelouiselaird · 13/08/2019 12:32

@MooChops89 did you have a period after implant removal before you got your BFP

I had my implant removed 2 weeks ago had periods and im overdue, experiencing a lot of pregnancy symptoms just dont know if its withdrawl from implant, period on way or pregnancy

MarshmallowsOnToast · 13/08/2019 12:39

I think you need to have inputted data for at least a few months & confirmed ovulation through other methods (BBT or opks etc) for it to be accurate.

As you've just come off hormonal contraceptives it can take a while for your cycles to regulate so it's just guessing.

I came off my implant in January and only really now after inputting data since then does it accurately predict my ovulation & Af.

SunnySunshine1990 · 13/08/2019 13:34

Hey, I use Flo, Premom and Ovia, it's good to look back at your data and compare symptoms etc month to month but it takes a while for the apps to get used to all the info you are putting in so I wouldn't say they are totally accurate.

I use cheap OPKs (£3 or so Ebay/Amazon) and I keep an eye on cervical mucus too. As soon as you log this on the apps it changes your predicted ovulation/period date also.

Best of luck!x

I have started using a combination of OPKs and the Glow, Ovia and Flo apps. All 3 apps had me ovulating on the 4th. However I started using the OPK on the 2nd got a light positive, on the 3rd got a stronger positive and on the 4th no line at all.

I wouldn't rely on the apps because they might cause you to miss ovulation but they'll give you an idea of when to start testing with the OPK.

Flo was the only app I used. Found the period predictions were bang on or the next day. Fell pregnant after monitoring for 6 months. Flo said I would ovulate whilst my partner was in Vegas for a few days so the day before (about 4 days before Flo predicted my ovulation) I asked him to look after himself during the day if you know what I mean so we had fresh ones that night! I'm now 12 weeks and baby was conceived whilst my bf was in another continent!
