Any endo success stories out there?

Hi all, I was diagnosed with endometriosis 16m ago and had laser surgery and a Mirena inserted, it has since recurred and I'm in the process of getting a second referral to gynae.

I am gutted it has come back as it has thrown up a lot of questions in my mind mainly surrounding how long should I leave it before TTC. I am mid 20s and was hoping to wait another 4/5 years but I'm absolutely petrified if I leave it too late it may not be possible :( I would say as well that TTC is not really feasible for at least the next year (ideally 2 years).

I know many do conceive with endo and I really just wanted some positive stories to try and calm me a bit, obviously a lot will depend on it's placement and severity which is TBC but I'm just gutted it has come back and would like some reassurance.

TIA :)

My sister in law is now pregnant with her second baby after endometriosis and being told she'd never have children. There is ALWAYS hope x

30-50% of women with endometriosis experience infertility, which means 50-70% do not! Infertility in this context doesn't mean not having children, just that it takes longer than a year to conceive.

Look, it's important not to lose your head. The great thing is that you know what is important to you (having a family), and you can prioritise it in 2 years' time. That's positive, right? Just don't leave it to your 30s. I didn't know I had endometriosis in my 20s and it would have changed my decision making completely. You have time on your side at the moment, so hang in there and take one day at a time. xx
