Clear blue ovulation test

I'm just wondering if any of you have used the clear blue ovulation tests before? And which one would you recommend the one that picks up the LH surge or the other that detects 4 or more fertile days? And did it work with any of you? I know they are quite expensive but thinking of using one next month if it doesn't happen this month x

@FearnRJ I use the digital ones- picks up 4 or more fertile days. You get a flashing smiley on fertile and when it peaks a static one. I usually get ovulation pains a day or so after the static.

I think they're pretty accurate but still waiting for a BFP on a pregnancy test so 🤷‍♀️

My gynae advice has been to BD every second day throughout the month.

@lori2019 do you only test once a day or twice? I've been using the cheap ones and been getting positives with those but sometimes hard to read with the lines. Been using Ovia app too to track everything x

@FearnRJ once a day, I do it about 6pm when I get home from work. I read they aren't accurate first thing when you wake - don't fancy taking them to work.

I hated the cheap ones, found them impossible to read - was using Glow app to confirm and just found them a nightmare to line up to photograph.

@lori2019 yes I tried the glow app but couldn't get on with it.

They are currently on offer in boots £19.99 for 10 sticks, usually 36.99.

Do you normally get 2 days high fertility and 2 days peak? Or do you when you get first peak not bother testing the next day? Sorry to sound daft obviously just never used one x

I got the pack of 20 on amazon, £35ish I think.
I usually get 3 days of flashing, once I get a static I stop testing and just make sure we get down to business for the next few days.

The ovulation pains soon after the static are enough for me to stop using.

The one with the box. I used it and am now 25 weeks pregnant

FearnRJ · 17/07/2019 11:45

@lori2019 I know everyone is different but what day do you start testing? X

CD 9, usually get a couple days of negatives, then flashing.

FearnRJ · 17/07/2019 12:14

@lori2019 thanks. I'll look at getting one if haven't conceived this month x

@FearnRJ

What I have been doing is using the cheap ones twice a day from CD10 (otherwise you can miss your surge) and then if the cheap ones look positive, I use the clearblue ones to just confirm that it is positive.
That way i'm only using a couple of clear blue ones a month and it doesn't get so expensive.

Not sure if you know but don't use your fmu as opk's dont work so well with that, I usually do mine like 11am and 8pm.

Good luck xxxxxx

I used one from Wilko, I think they were 2 for £1 and worked fine, totally clear result. I don't see the point in spending more tbh

Doh. Ignore my above comment, I didn't rtft and thought you were asking about pregnancy tests.
