Me and my partner have been having sex for a year and a half without using any protection and we said 'if it happens it happens'. About two years ago my partner noticed one of his testicles was large. He didnt get this checked out until more recently as he is a man and they dont like the gp!!! He went for an ultrasound on thurs and they suggested it could be varicose veins. After googling im terrified as it talks a lot about infertility. I wont know more until we go back to the gp for their confirmation but i just needed to let it all out!!!

@jmgX
Hello! Sorry to hear about your partner, I hope he is ok? I know this kind of thing can really knock a guys confidence!

I am also in a similar position. My partner suffered from some kind of trauma to a testicle when he was 15 and at the time too embarrassed to get it checked out so just left it. Now he has one 'normal' sized testicle and one that is shrunk. I'm trying to urge him to get it checked out but he's not keen on the idea. I know he is embarrassed and most probably scared that he will be told some bad news but it's best to know these things early!

When is your next appointment?

@jmgX, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is to undergo this kind of situation. In my case, it was not my husband but it was I who was infertile. But there's always hope. When we first knew about my situation, we were so devastated but my husband still supported me emotionally. We found a way to get through it. And now, I am happy to say that we have a healthy beautiful baby through IVF. There is always hope. i wish you all the best. :)
