Or is that a myth?!

The difficulty is that it's easy to miss ovulation so it's better to try every other day from the end of your period until a few days after a positive opk. This also helps to ensure that you have good quantities of fresh sperm available. Every day is good for freshness but less good for quantity - in itself it doesn't reduce chances but the risk is that you either try every day for 2 weeks and are worn out by the time of ovulation, or you wait for a positive opk before starting every day and end up missing the window.

The first time I got pregnant was after DTD 8 days in a row! But I think it depends more on your partner's sperm.

I suppose it depends on his sworn. Me and my husband dtd most days even before ttc I got a bfp last month, unfortunately it was a chemical pregnancy but I got my bfp again 5 days ago 🤞🏻 for you

I think every other day is suggested if sperm count is low

We were TTC for a couple of years and did the every other day method (but always after an POPK). Nothing happening then we started doing it every night during peak fertility (using the CB OPK) and I fell pregnant in March. I also read that it isn’t recommended if there is your partners sperm count is low x

The sperm meets egg plan is every other day from cycle day 8 I think and then nightly once you get your peak ovulation test

Your egg is only good enough to fertilise for about 12 hours after being released and sperm can take up to 10 hours to go through a process of capacitation to enable it to fertilise an egg so the day before and two days before ovulation have the most success

We were having sex at least once a day when I got pregnant with DS (took 4mths age 39). Now ttc number 2 at 41 and unfortunately don’t get anywhere near that due to a toddler who co-sleeps!
