Would love to hear if anyone has the same and if they have had a baby?

Just had day surgery yesterday and found out they removed some endometriosis.

a little scary :(

Thanks

Hi Holbi,

I actually have uterus didelphys and had endometriosis when I was younger (I know there's no cure, but I don't seem to have been troubled by it for a long few years now).

I have just the one cervix but had two wombs which where joined together. One of the wombs was completely closed off so caused a lot of problems. When I was 21 I actually ended up having to have surgery to remove that womb.
I also had one of my ovaries removed when I was 14 because of an endometriotic cyst and was told I had endo in my bowel (which seemed to clear up on its own by some miracle... it can happen).

Over the years I have had a lot of intervention and treatment for all the gynae stuff.
December 2017 I came off the pill to TTC. I actually fell pregnant the very next month. Sadly it wasn't to be and I've ended up having 4 miscarriages, but it looks like it has nothing to do with the uterus didelphys. I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant again after treatment for high prolactin levels and being given progesterone to take during this pregnancy. So fingers crossed this one sticks!

There are lots of women who have uterus didelphys and/or endometriosis and have have babies. You may be monitored more closely during pregnancy, and if both your wombs are functional you might still have periods while pregnant (I've heard this is quite common with this type of womb).

Were/are you TTC before you had this surgery? Or are you thinking for the future?
