Hi guys...I’m new to this but really need some advice.
I had been on the combined pill for 9+ years and in February decided to come off of it.
My last “proper” period was 17th April. My husband and I had sex on 28th April, two days before my ovulation day.
For two weeks after this, I felt so different. My energy levels dropped massively, I had an increased appetite, back pain and extremely sore boobs!
I was due on my period around 15th May. On 14th May, I started to bleed. Initially it was very light pink and then developed into a red/brown colour. It only lasted 48 hours which is unusual for me because my period usually lasts 4-5 days.
Since my bleeding stopped, i have been getting cramps in my lower stomach area and feel quite nauseous in the mornings. I feel “heavier” (if this makes sense?!) and I also have an increase in discharge. I did a cervix check and it seems very soft and high.
I did a pregnancy test today (20th May) and it came back negative (it wasn’t first thing in the morning urine and was later on in the morning). I decided to go to my GP today and they have asked me to provide a urine sample which they will send off.

I have done sooo much reading on this and I am confused! Am I just overthinking my pregnancy symptoms or simply just testing too early?
(Promise to update this thread once I know the outcome!!)

I hope I'm wrong but unfortunately I think you may be overthinking it :(

Implantation happens at day 8-11, so day 15 would be too late for implantation bleeding I think. And re the symptoms, your body doesn't start producing pregnancy hormones until at day 9-10 at the very earliest, so any symptoms you have before then will be down to progesterone, which also causes sore boobs, hunger and tiredness etc. If you've only just come off the pill you may not be used to this feeling?

You can drive yourself crazy with it though, I know.

P.s. definitely not testing too early. If you definitely ovulated on the day you think you did, you'd be 5 weeks pregnant and should have a very strong line on a test by now.

I agree with the PP, I think you may be reading too much into it OP. I think the bleeding was most probably your period

After stopping the pill I had loads of symptoms- 2 weeks of cramps then 2 weeks of nausea, plus tiredness. Did two tests (both negative). Symptoms settled then I had 1st period and feeling ok since. I think a lot of women get crazy symptoms after coming off the pill. You can feel awful, and no wonder lots of us wonder if we're pregnant already! Some lucky people are, but as another poster above suggested I think it reflects all the hormones. So if your tests have been negative, wait it out and hopefully your cycles will settle down soon.

Also worth pointing out (despite all the symptom spotting on here) that a lot of people don't get proper pregnancy symptoms until 6wk+

Thanks for the responses.

Symptoms have come to a halt this week so I'm pretty certain now that I was overthinking things! Not actively TTC, so not overly disappointed but it wasn't until I got the negative that I realised how much I do want to fall pregnant soon! Hopefully all in good time. Thanks again for the replies.
