‘New normal’ after MC?

I had a miscarriage at about 6 weeks at the beginning of February. GP said was okay to TTC straight away so we continued with unprotected sex.

About 3 weeks after the miscarriage I started having really sore breasts and other ‘symptoms’ I’d had with my first pregnancy. However I was not pregnant and got my period (4 weeks after the MC. You can imagine it really messed with my head, as was quite hormonal emotionally as well. (I’m also not convinced I ovulated as no EWCM which I always got before).

Skip forward and I am on CD23 (was regular 28-29 days cycles pre MC). For the last few days I’ve had symptoms again. Nipples are so so sore, breasts are heavy and sore when pressed, gassy at both ends, peeing every couple of hours, very light weird cramp like sensations on and off and fatigued. And my DP will tell you I am a NIGHTMARE to live with These past couple of days!!!!

I tested this morning and bfn. I am aware it’s still a little early. Is it possible that I’m going to get these ‘symptoms’ as part of PMS now? Any words or wisdom or advice? Xxxx

Hello. Wanted to say hi. I've had a miscarriage and noticed some strange symptoms that I've never experienced before - boobs been flipping agony, like you describe. They almost feel bruised to the touch. Has been like it for days... am so confused by what it all means?!

Sorry you've had to go through it too :(

Michellebops · 01/04/2019 18:13

Yep it's your new "normal" until your body settles down.

I'm 6 months post miscarriage and I get these symptoms I never had before every month 😩

@sophied1983 I’m sorry you’ve been through this too :( in the 4 weeks after the miscarriage I think a bruiser feeling was a good way to describe it. I genuinely thought I’d caught again and went through like 10 FRERs before my AF came. I’ve never been so confused by my body in my life! They feel different again this month. Go figure!

@Michellebops sorry that you’ve been through this too :( has it go any less as the months have progressed? It feels more intense this month than it did in the month between my MC and 1st AF.

It doesn’t help that I keep arguing with my DP. He’s really not helping the situation :( xx

@Keyboard91 I wish I could say it's gets easier but I've yet to find it.

I never got my period until 9.5 weeks after the miscarriage. At one point I thought I was pregnant again but sadly I still had hcg in my body. That was cruel.

I bought opks and started monitoring ovulation and body starts giving positive symptoms almost immediately. I'm on cycle 4, period due Saturday and I'm impatiently waiting on it to find out.

I went for blood tests last week to see if anything underlying xxx

Keyboard91 · 01/04/2019 18:49

@Michellebops I had a negative test as soon as the bleeding started and have had negative since so I’m ‘lucky’ as my hcg dropped so quickly. I’m not convinced I ovulated in the time before my first AF, but I’m pretty sure I did this time (I’ve opk’d in the past, maybe I should again?).

TBH, if I don’t get a bfp this month by Monday (due Friday) I’ll go to the GP to get checked, even if have AF. As I’m worried that if I’m not pregnant (which I feel like I am) then maybe something isn’t quite right. If it was just nipple soreness then I could live with it as a new PMS sign without being checked, but because there are other signs I’d be nervous to leave it ... if that makes sense?

We can be impatient this week together!
