TWO WEEK WAIT: Who's joining?

Hi guys cycle 1 af due 22/3. Having 21 day bloods on thurs to check progesterone levels due to previous fertility issues - fingers crossed all ok!

When is everyone going to POAS? Im 8 DPO today so I know still a bit early but it's so temping. I want to try and hold out til at least 10 DPO but I've loads of the little cheap HCG strips from Amazon so probably won't last.

Well I just POAS so I've cracked already, BFN obviously as it's still too early but as I'm too rushed in the mornings in the week before work to do it I thought I'd have a practice (I also bought a load of the super cheap ones off amazon)!! I'm either 7 DPO (based on OPK) or 5PO (based on fertility friends BBT calculations) xx

@MrsRLM I'm going to try and hold out. I also have a few ic in the drawer so I'm sure I'll be tempted 🙈

I'm 7 dpo and had a temperature dip today. You never know could just be implantation as nowhere near AF. It was a little disheartening to see but it's still quite early I guess.

I cracked too, absolutely no willpower whatsoever, unsurprisingly BFN at 6DPO. definitely not doing another before 12dpo.

How long does everyone have ovulation symptoms for after it has occurred? I had my positive opk on Thursday and have had a dodgy tummy since Friday.

@Rach1384 My ovulation symptoms usually last for 2 days. Lower tummy pain, bloating, increased cm and sex drive.
I plan to test at 9 dpo at the earliest, which is this Wed for me. If I can hold on till the weekend, when AF is due, I will! but probably I won't

I'm planning to hang on until AF is due (Sunday)... so so tough!

@Chips4dinneragain do you know if you ovulated? I had one weird cycle last year where I had a light period mid cycle I think because I mustn't have ovulated. Maybe that is the case for you. Could be a cyst though. If you have any concerns then do see your GP. I'm pretty clockwork so it was very odd but I haven't any issues with cycles or ovulation so don't believe it was anything to worry about.

Currently symptom spotting; I’ve had what I think are twinges, a shooting pain in my boob yesterday, moodiness and tiredness, however, my boobs are normally really sore from ovulation to AF - but not this month; I don’t know if this is positive, or whether it means i did not release an egg this month? I’m driving meyself nuts!

I'm back again after a few months off the grid.
Trying to be more relaxed (pah!!) and not temping or using OPKs anymore. My cycle and O day has been like clockwork since I had my mirena removed so fingers crossed it continues that way
CD17 today, 4DPO probably and AF due 19/3. I'm NOT testing before then!

I promised myself I wouldn’t do this but here I am googling furiously about the rise in temperature, copper taste in mouth and 4th day of cramps when I’m not even due on until a week Friday.

@Rach1384 it's so hard isn't it!! I've felt really pregnant. Now 8 dpo. My first pregnancy ended in missed miscarriage at 10 weeks last month so the symptoms of pregnancy are very fresh. I'm just trying to work out if I'm imagining it or I really am pregnant. I've had cramps, sensitivity to smell, dry mouth, cloudy pee, temps still high, upset tummy, sore boobs. All started within a few days of ovulation. I'm trying to wait until Wednesday to test but it's hard.

Yes I did wonder about a cyst, will speak to the GP about it. I'm currently in the middle of a fertility work up and have my day 21 progesterone test today so hopefully will get a sense of what's going on. Although this is cycle 4 of 'trying' for DC 2, we have been not trying-not preventing for a year beforehand, so quite a while.

ttcAlex , looks like we are on a very similar time scale. How do you know when exactly to count for the ovulation? For example, my ovulation clear blue had static smile on Monday last week, which means I could ovulate anytime within 48 hour time frame. Do I count Monday or Tuesday as day 1? I would either be Wednesday day 9 post ovulation or Thursday would be I think. But my period is not due until the week after...but I always spot 3 days before, which is over the weekend.

StarlightIntheNight I dont use ovu tests this time round, but I count the last day of my ovulation symptoms (pretty pronounced for me) for the day of O. I hope I'm right

nz0l0v3 from my experience every cycle can be slightly different in terms of symptoms, so it's hard to tell...guess we all have to wait a little bit longer to find out, but its soo hard.

I would count Tue as your O day. It means one extra day of waiting if you are testing early, but at least there's less chance for a false BFN

@Chips4dinneragain hope all goes well at your appointment today. If I have no luck this cycle I'm going to look into a progesterone test as I spot before AF ever since the first MC so want to check if any reason for that.

@StarlightIntheNight I use CB advanced OPKs too. I don't temp so I assume that I ovulate the day after static smiley and then count first DPO as day after that so if I get static on a Monday then first DPO would be Wednesday. Some times I think I can tell when I ovulate - feel a twinge in one side but that is prob just wishful thinking. Only way you can really tell is to temp but I don't have the patience.

First wishful symptom spot at 7/8 DPO - I cried watching "Waffle the Wonder Dog" with my 2.5 yr old 😳🤦‍♀️ that better be a sign otherwise my pmt is getting earlier and worse!

I decided not to use opks this month too in a bid to relax, unfortunately its had the opposite effect and im now fretting whether I even ovulated this cycle.
