Gestational Sac seen on ultrasound but BFNs still

So plot twist to begin!

I went to my first private gynae appointment (Feb20th) after a scary NHS TVultrasound (Jan30th) that left me feeling more worried than ever.

Thought I was anovulatory and all charting etc supported my cycles being anovulatory and completely irregular.

Then we do the scan to check what had happened to the small follicles seen on CD6/Jan30th.
Annnnnnd there was a gestational sac sat in the fundal end of my uterus! ShockConfused
Lining measured 9.2mm, luteal cyst of 49mm.

I have had super tender nipples for seven days now. Headaches, neck stiffness, high cervix and small amounts of milky CM.

I’m just not sure what to think!? The gynae clearly saw it as straight forward, I am preg 4 weeks and she wants to see me in ten days to scan and see if it sticks...

But is it just the internet squinters that make me think I should have something on a test by now? How can she be able to see it when my tests are all negative?

Just hoping someone had similar! Thanks in advance Smile

I'd say stick with the gynae's thoughts - there's a sac, so there's defo something there! See what they say when you go back but for now I'd say congratulations! My first pregnancy I was on CD63 when I got my first positive!

Thanks so much for your reply @BaileyD222 Smile

Still no AF and feeling many signs that something is going on in my body.

So tough not getting too excited but also not wanting to be totally bleak either!!! Great to hear though that it’s possible to wait a really long time for that BFP shows me I should just cool it! Grin

thank you Biscuit

A scan is far more accurate than a test. Its uncommon, but some people get really late positive tests, or no positives at all. No idea why though

I'm confused - what tests have you done exactly?
Have you had squinters? The cheap strips only gave me nearly invisible lines 3 or 4 days after clear lines on FRERs. Have you tried a FRER?
