Hi Guys

I know there's lots of threads on the above and I have tried to find the answer but haven't been able to so here I am!

We are trying at home insemination as my husband suffers from ED. Hes seeking support on this but it's taken several years and isnt something you can do within a certain timeframe. I also have pcos and very irregular cycles.

I am trying to track my ovulation and have brought some kits of eBay and preseed.

The syringes are 10mls.. due to the lack of sex life (because of the ED) I am rather squemish. Am i right in saying I would insert the 10ml syringe inside up to the plunger bit and then slowly plunge in. This I assume wont impact the cervix?? Some threads say put it all the way in whereas others say this is extremely dangerous etc and just so halfway which would only be about 3ish inches (this doesn't seem enough).

It's just so frustrating to contend with the ED and pcos but we're gonna give it our best shot because we look at more intrusive methods (currently on the waiting list for initial consultation at fertility clinic)

Thanks in advance for your help xx

Hi sandy, this sounds very similar to my situation. Husband also suffers from ED, so TTC has been tricky for us and we're quite a bit over the 1 year mark now.. Pills sometimes work for him but have unpleasant side effects, so we have been using a combination of 'traditional' babymaking and also home insemination. It sounds like you have the same approach I've used - insert almost all the way to the cervix but don't allow it to touch as you could hurt yourself. We managed to conceive this way just after Xmas, but unfortunately it ended in miscarriage. Very disheartening but at least we know it's achievable now! Fingers crossed for you and good luck! Smile
