Testing BBT - too many anomalies?

Hi Everyone,
I came off contraception at the end of last year with the hope TTC spring/summer and between now and then I'm looking to try understand my cycles and when I ovulate etc.
I want to start monitoring my BBT and have been reading up on the logistics of it and basically I'm not sure if it will
work for me.
The main thing is, as a nurse I work shifts and half of those are nights so testing at the same time every day is not practical. Also, the last couple of hours I get of sleep I can be quite unsettled and my fiancé likes to move around the bed a lot so I don't know if I'd get a totally accurate resting temperature.
Does anyone work shifts / not sleep that well and still get good enough readings to see ovulation? I have read things which say it is possible but it would be good to hear from people who have had experience. Smile
Thanks for taking the time to read this anyway!

I used an automatic BBT tracker called the ifertracker. It takes temp continuously overnight and records the lowest temp - I knew I wouldn't be good at remembering first thing or that overnight bathroom trips would give me incorrect results. As long as you have 3hrs of sleep the unit gives you an accurate reading. I never had any anomalous readings and really clear to read charts. It's pricey but still much cheaper than other gadgets like the Ava.
