TTC Mirena coil removal & endo

Hello, I know I'm being that person that asks medical questions on the internet but in my defence, I have already spoken to my GP and she couldn't give me any reassurance on which decision is for the best.

I have endometriosis and have done for about 7 years. I was treated at first with Zoladex injections and for the last 5 years have had the Mirena in.

I'm in my 30s and me and my DP now want to start trying for a baby. As my Mirena expires in a few months I have been thinking of having it taken out rather than replaced.

My only worry is I have heard it could take up to a year or more to conceive and I'm scared that leaving my endo untreated in this time will make it worse and then harder to conceive as time goes on.

I went to my GP for advice but she said couldn't say either way (I understand everyone is different) She suggested I could go on Cerazette (pill) for a while after the Mirena is out as it will be easier to stop on my own terms, but I have health anxiety and when she said there was a higher risk of breast cancer I just decided I didn't want that.Blush

Anyway, what I want to know is, do any MNetters out there who have endometriosis have any advice? What did you do when TTC? Did you just come straight off treatment cold turkey and then just TTC?

Thank you for reading.
