TTC no 2 with PCOS

Currently TTC no 2 and I have PCOS, first was conceived after 3 years and a cycle of metformin - she's now 3 1/2.

We're a few months in and I'm on metformin again as it also helps with weight loss, fertile window is around a week away according to the tracking calendar I'm using and I have OPKs which I use in the run up to predicted fertile days. Last month my only positive test was on a day we couldn't dtd so missed that window.

My PCOS symptoms are the usual - extra hairy, gain weight really easily but struggle to loose any, inconsistent ovation/periods and cycle ranging from 28-80 days but last 2 have been 28/30. No recent scans for cycts so unsure on the situation there.

Any success stories or advice? It feels really strange to be back TTC, I don't want to get too excited in case it doesn't happen for us as we were (and are still!) so lucky to get our DD.

@sazzle3 I was taking metformin for about 6 weeks the first time before BFP but I think I was lucky as results vary.

I had to ask for the medication after I researched pcos. When I first saw a consultant I had blood tests and scans which took a while, it's generally not a quick process.
