Faint Positive Test

Hi. Very new to all of this and a bit confused and hoping some of you may have some helpful feedback. I took a Morrisons home test today (I am 5 days late) and had a faint 'positive' result after about 4 minutes which got a bit darker by about 5 minutes. Instructions say read results after 3 minutes and disregard after 15 min. Can I therefore assume that this is is most likely an accurate positive result?

Thank you!

Can you attach a pic? I am sure if you were able to see a second line within 15 mins no matter how faint, it has detected hcg. The only reason I ask for a pic really is to see if it’s a blue dye test as those can be troublesome.
I’ll whisper congratulations anyhow x

KitKat1985 · 04/01/2019 14:34

I would assume it was an early positive. Try and take another test tomorrow morning (ideally with your first pee of the day when your wee is more concentrated) and you should get an accurate result.

Sorry for being daft but how do I attach a pic on here...?

thank you for the responses!

Are you a new user op ? If so, you can’t upload one for a couple of days. I think you can pm me a picture though if you click on the dots below my message and I will be happy to post it for you on the thread so people can have a look x

scotgal2628 · 04/01/2019 15:01

Thanks so much. Yes, just new to the site. It does not seem to let me PM a pic either... I will just have to be patient ha

I managed to post the pic on this forum if anyone is able to see it here:

www.madeformums.com/forum/forummessages.aspx?threadid=222023&forumMessagesPage=7#last

Although it seems consensus that it is likely a positive.

See I would say that is negative. I have in the past had many blue dyes ever so faint that looked just like that and they were always negative. The cause awful shadowing. Take a red dye test and best of luck for whatever result you want xx

scotgal2628 · 04/01/2019 15:37

thanks for your input. What are the red dye tests? Are there specific brands you would recommend?

Also, I believe the Morrisons tests are pink dye (if that makes any difference)

Try a first response test in the morning with your first wee.

KitKat1985 · 04/01/2019 15:46

Yes that test is positive. (Some posters here may be confusing your Morrison test pics on that thread with that of the clearbue taken by a different user as that's what shows up first because it's more recently posted).

scotgal2628 · 04/01/2019 15:48

KitKat 1985 - Thank you for clarifying that!

RLOU30 - apologies for the confusion and thank you again for all your feedback.

Assuming you have the same username in the other site, then that's definitely positive. Congratulations!

scotgal2628 · 04/01/2019 16:01

Planning to run another pink dye test first thing tomorrow morning which will hopefully confirm. Thank you all for the very helpful responses!

That's a positive test :)

Mustangsallyis · 04/01/2019 17:20

Definitely positive! Congratulations!

RLOU30 · 04/01/2019 21:29

Sorry I got it confused with the clear blue test on the link you sent x

123drink · 04/01/2019 21:40

Definitely a positive! Congratulations Smile

cookielove · 05/01/2019 11:07

Here is your test!

Which is a clear positive

Yes you don’t need to retest with that one! Especially not with an expensive first response. Congratulations!

@scotgal2628 congratulations!!
