5 days after possible conception!
Terrible Nausea, from day 3!
Apparently I’m 15days! Sounds ridiculous but have headaches, had a spot(hopefully from implantation)
Terrible headaches, feeling weird, and going to the loo a lot, as well as strange taste in my mouth. Thought it was from drinking too much water, but I’m not drinking that much,
Trying not to get too hopeful, but this wait for the test is painful.
Still got at least 11days before period is due!
Is it possible to experience all of the above, so early?
I was so looking forward to becoming preggers, but now this nausea, I’m not so sure! Feeling very very tired and am not really able to focus on anything.
Going a little nuts here, never mind not being able to eat.
Am I imagining things?

I don't think it's possible. If you have conceived implantation is around 6-12 days past ovulation. When did you ovulate? Is it possible you're ovulating now?

Have you recently stopped hormonal contraception as sometimes that can make you feel weird.

Of course, you may have conceived but it's too early. The general rule is if symptoms are noticeable you'll get a positive pregnancy test.

Hi

I've had similar and was convinced I was pregnant. Sadly for me this wasn't the case. I think a lot of symptoms I had anyway because of other factors and I made them feel More intense by obsessing about them.

Best thing I'd advise is try keeping your mind off of it and keep your mind busy for a while and if the symptoms are still there and/or get stronger then look forward to taking a test.

Hope it's the answer you want Smile

Thanks
Reading about it - it sounds impossible...i know.

Here i am (off contraception for years now!) feeling queasy, nauseous and tired.
I am definitely not ovulating at the moment. Maybe I got my dates wrong.. I don't know what to think.

Don't know what's happening... but whatever it is, it will mean a trip to the doctor in the coming week.
Google says there are other very horrid conditions with the same symptoms.

Knowing my luck, I've probably started the menopause early!

I will be sad, if I'm not pregnant.. but hey ho.

Can always practice some more TTC.

Thanks all.

Nausea doesn't normally start until about a week after missed period. Fingers crossed you are pregnant but I don't think your symptoms mean anything yet, as your HCG would be even too low for a pregnancy test to pick up. Good luck.

RoseGoldEagle · 04/01/2019 23:10

Nausea in pregnancy is caused by hcg, and if hcg was high enough to cause nausea it should be high enough to turn a pregnancy test positive. Doesn’t mean you’re not pregnant though, just too early really to tell!

Been to the doctor now I know, less than before!

It turns out I could be 7 weeks instead of 2 weeks, now

The last period was very short lived, it's usually 3-4 days, it was 1 day only. I only noticed because the tampons hadn't got any blood on them (prob TMI), but I brushed it aside, because my periods have been a bit strange for the last year or so.

I did a home test which came out negative, yesterday.

For the last two days, I have had fever. I called NHS 111.

I was concerned, what was going on, as fever (two days) combined with the nausea (two weeks), urinating more often, tiredness, it could be something quite horrid, because the pregnancy test was negative.
I didn't have signs of the flu, or any other infection. Though fever is an indicator of infection

They advised me to go see the doctor, and have a blood pregnancy test.

So I explained to the doctor,
I could be 7 weeks pregnant
I could be 2 weeks pregnant
I could be not pregnant and have a horrid condition

I need a blood test to confirm pregnancy.

She refused flat out to do the blood test.

She said a negative pregnancy test, is usually accurate.

So i pointed out the nausea, the fever, frequent urination, and tiredness.

She sent me for an endometriosis referral.

Great - It may well be endometriosis, but I still may be pregnant.
I have read that the home kits, look for between 50 and 1000mg of HCG or whatever.

At 2 weeks, you may not hit the lower limit.
At 6 weeks, you may be well over the limit of the test (its around 1100 at 6 weeks)
So home pregnancy tests are inconclusive, in this case.

So I explained to her, that I would like a blood pregnancy test.
She flat out refused.

Now I am stressed, infuriated, and also ill, to boot. Great outcome :(
I can accept that I'm not pregnant, if I was sure, but I'm not.

You hear about so many false negatives, that they can't be conclusive.

Also the nausea, is so bad. I very rarely go off my food, and if I do, it's because there's something very wrong. Last time, i had pneumonia!

So you'd think she'd want to investigate the nausea and the fever. No.

That doesn't matter. It's all covered by endometriosis (Not!)

Thanks Ms GP!!

Oh dear @Noremi you're going through it! I'm so shocked at how many people have mentioned GPS refusing pregnancy blood tests. I hope your find out soon x

GemmaJen · 11/01/2019 13:20

@Noremi oh dear it sound like a mess. I don't know what to suggest, but if you really want to do a blood HCG you can do them privately. www.medichecks.com/fertility-tests/pregnancy-test-blood they do a postal service, at least that would rule it out one way or another? I can't imagine how stressful this is, hope you find answers soon X

If you think you're too pregnant to be detected by a home test, dilute your wee. Half water/half wee in a cup should be sufficient.

At two weeks pregnant (from lmp), you're probably ovulating. If two weeks pregnant from conception, you should just about be getting a positive test. Hpts can detect as low as 6 miu/l of hcg (frer can).

Pregnant enough for symptoms is pregnant enough for a positive hpt.

Did the gp not consider urine infection/ kidney infection?

I suppose you could book a private ultrasound (though I'd wait until you are over 7 weeks for sure).

Noremi · 11/01/2019 15:14

All, thanks for the replies!

@physicskate - thanks for the input about the dilution. I will try.

I hear what you are saying, about the tests.

I am open to being Not Pregnant, I'm not that deluded, with myself.
After all, I even got the dates muddled!

I just want to know what's happening. I'm losing weight, as its a struggle to eat, and I am ill. Not good.

The easiest thing to eliminate, surely is the pregnancy rather than the hidden infection.

I've just had a healthy health check come back about 6 weeks ago, as routine. They did bloods, everything. It was all good.

She tested the urine for infections. I'm clear of urine/kidney infections. So the infection is hiding somewhere, or it's just a virus/flu or something!

Still Very disconcerting, so thank you @mass22*,*@gemmaJen.
