Having my copper coil out tomorrow (after a very long wait) and I'm hoping to conceive straight away... is this possible? I'm due to be ovulating in the next couple or days ... TIA ☺️

Had mine out early July, had a month of "not trying not preventing" and then 5 weeks of dtd every 2-3 days to actively try. DS is currently snoozing besides me 😊

I was told that on average it could take 8 months to conceive for any couple though so wasn't expecting to do so so quickly!

I meant to say good luck!!

Removed April and pregnant end of September. I was 30.

8 months. Had a scan after 4 and was told that my womb lining was thin, which often happens after you’ve had any kind of coil, and that it would thicken in time but that vitamin E supplements could be useful. I took them and to be honest it probably would have improved anyway, but I got pregnant 4 more cycles later. I think it was the coil because I didn’t have one again and got pregnant with DD2 immediately we started trying. I was 28 if that makes a difference.

Good luck!

First chemical about 6 months in. 2nd chemical another 6 months. Successful ivf for unexplained 2 and a half years after we started ttc.

Cycles became irregular and really short periods after removal.

18 months, then a miscarriage, then IVF. So two and half years in total.
