What should I ask Dr?

Hello

Im 41 and ttc baby no 1. We haven't been trying for long but Im well aware that my age is against me!

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my doctor. I figured if I have low oestrogen/progesterone/anything else etc it would be good to know sooner rather than later.

What tests/medication should I try to push for if they don't seem to be suggesting anything?

Thanks

Hi @TulipsTwoLips I think if you've been trying for 6 months they'll start tests. I've been trying a year and am 35 so just started down the fertility testing route.

Have got cd1-5 blood tests, cd21 blood test to check for progesterone / if I'm ovulating, having swabs and ultrasound. Dh is going for sperm analysis on the new year. Once they're done we'll be referred onto fertility clinic.

Might be worth checking your local ccg with regards to what the criteria is for fertility help as some areas have age restrictions and limits to access to treatment.

@tulipstwolips I'm 40 and also going to the doctors tomorrow. We haven't been trying for long either but I'm bleeding very irregularly and don't want to leave it too long
