Underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) and TTC

Hello!
II'm 30 years old and have been trying to conceive for more than a year, went to a fertility clinic and was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid (TSH 10.10). I started taking 25mcg levothyroxine and my TSH dropped to 2.5, I had some side effects (shortness of breath) but my period was regular. I was happy.

I then asked my endocrinologist if I should increase my dose as I've been trying to conceive and read that the TSH should be 2.0 or lower. He increased my dose twice a week to 50mcg as I had some side effects at the beginning and didn't want to increase it too much at once.

After started taking a higher dose, my period shortened from 28 days to 23 days, got more painful and lighter. Did this ever happen to you? I'm worried now that my cycle is too short and that it messed up with my hormones even more.
Also, should I wait with TTC-ing before this get stabilized or should I go back to a lower dose eve though my TSH would stay at 2.5?

Thank you for your help!

I'd leave your dose alone. Underactive thyroid (even only slightly) can increase rates of miscarriage and increase the odds of a baby with a lower iq.
