First month trying OPK's. The one on the left was from 5 hours ago. The right i've just taken.

We DTD anyway to cover the fertile window just in case.

Does this mean Its back to a neg?

Think so. You must have caught your peak on the first one. You dtd so that should be good timing x

OPKs show you the surge in LH which happens just prior to ovulation. Looks like you have caught the surge and it’s now on its way down again.

This surge can occur 12-36h before ovulation and the egg can hang around for around 24h after ovulation. Sperm can live for up to 5-6 days. So really you want to have quite a bit of sex before the positive OPK and keep at it a couple of days after it.

Also remember sometimes your body may gear up to ovulate and then it won’t for some reason and will make abother surge. And just look at the pregnancy boards with people really confident on dates measuring a bit out. There’s probably some imperfections so ideally you’d do it throughout the month to maximise chances. They always said this a lot in the fertility clinic.

Unsure how to direct reply to each post. Still new to the boards and figuring this all out and the acronyms Blush

Thank you both for replying though! I keep meaning to record my Temps as well but I always forget before I've dashed out of bed to the bathroom in the mornings!

Will be following current and older threads on OPK to make sure I know what's what.

Thanks again :)
