Is this a faint positive?

Hello everyone!!
Back story - had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago at 6 weeks 4 days sad Took a pill to make sure everything was out then took the low-sensitivity pregnancy test they gave me to take last week which came back negative so i knew my baby had gone :(
Anyways, me and my partner have been trying to conceive again (i know research is very mixed, but some studies show that conceiving soon after actually reduces the risk of another miscarriage) so i'm praying.
Anyways, I bought a huge bulk of amazon One step strips (because theyre cheap) so I thought i'd take one now so if i can see if there is a line there and compare the rest to this one -see if they get darker,
But it's come back with a faint line?? Even though the one i took last week was negative?? Am i being hopeful here??
I dont think I could be since i've been bleeding brown blood (like a period) for 2 days - actually i swear it is my first period after MC. But then i get my hopes high by reading about breakthrough bleeding??

I'll attach an image and see what you think, i'll take another in a few days to see if it's darker or lighter!
How sensitive are One Step tests? Since they have mixed reviews on Amazon?

Is this a faint positive?

Sorry for your loss Thanks

That line looks grey to me, rather than pink. Does it have colour in person? How long after taking the test did you take the photo?

AnnaStudy · 24/11/2018 12:31

Thanks for replying :) It is more pink in person, my camera was not focusing or picking up the colour,
And i took the photo after 2 minutes xxx

Okay sounds like a positive then. However I'd be very cautious - as agonising as it is, you're just going to have to wait it out. There is no way of knowing if this is your previous lost pregnancy or a new one, but keep taking the tests every morning and see if the line darkens. Fx for you! 🤞🏻

Thank you so much for replying! Yeah that's what i was thinking! The test last week came back negative (not a One Step one, a low-senstivity one - honestly cried when I saw it, hit me that baby had gone :,(

So I'm not sure how sensitive these One Step tests are - theyre cheap but some reviews say they are rubbish and not very sensitive, and others say theyre great, but like you said I just need to wait it out and not get my hopes high,
Like I said i'm bleeding so, unless it's breakthrough bleeding, i suppose likelihood is it might just be leftover hormones xxx

Ps after MC, i bled for 5 days, then it stopped, now a week and a half later it came back,
Me and partner started trying as soon as bleeding stopped since midwife told us a female is much more fertile after miscarrying so even if this is just a false positive, i'll just keep on trying xxx

The worst thing about the time following a MC is not knowing what on earth your body is up to - it's so hard! But it will settle down and it will all work out okay. I had 2 before having my DD, we left it a cycle before trying but I don't think it was really necessary. Best of luck! 😊

@alltalknobaby i'm so glad you finally got your baby Bear
I just want the bleeding to stop since seeing blood just ruins all hope! And then seeing a faint positive is probably giving me false hope! It seems such an emotional rollcoaster, I just want to fast forward to being pregnant!

Oh gosh! message before didnt send, so now i look silly!!! I'm in a similar situation, MC and now getting faint positives!
