I don't feel like I fit into other threads with this so thought I'd start one to see if anyone else in the same boat?

We've been trying for more than 6 months now and I feel like I get left behind on the other threads as people get pregnant (I'm genuinely happy for them though).
I know there's threads on here for people who have been trying for 6 months or more but I'm already fortunate enough to have two children so feel wrong for going on those threads. I'd have been irritated by a Mother of two complaining about how long it takes to conceive her third when I was struggling for my first!
Both my DSs took nearly 18 months of TTC each and I have PCOS. I had some sort of treatment both times (clomid with the first and metformin with the second).
I was very excited to get a BFP on our second cycle this time but it sadly ended in an early miscarriage. I've just come out of a cycle that lasted over 90 days and I'm feeling a bit defeated.

Can anyone else relate? I feel like I'm taking too long for the standard TTC threads but have too many kids for the other ones.

Didn't want to read and run but I'm having sort of the opposite situation, I want to start ttc but OH wants to wait until January and there no threads for people waiting on their other halfs!

Hope you get your BFP soon! xo

There was a waiting to try thread not so long ago. I was on it before we started trying again and I'm sure it carried on for a while after. Not sure if it's still active but worth a look for as it was a lovely thread!

I know what you mean but it’s a pretty welcoming place across the, er, board. I’ve been trying for a few years now (one mmc) but I just use the regular bus threads, there are plenty of us on them who’ve been around for ages.

You have my sympathies for the long cycles, mine are fairly regular now but I remember having to fill in those stupid forms at the doctor for what cycle day I was on with CD170 and similar 🙄

Congrats on your two DC - will keep my fingers crossed for a Christmas gift for you of the third 🙂

NoseringGirl · 24/11/2018 10:16

Thanks @ronniemipperton! It's definitely a welcoming place, I think I just feel more disheartened being on the buses. It's my issue more than a one with the boards if that makes sense? I feel more at home on the longer term threads but don't feel I should be there because I've been lucky enough to have two.
I hope you get that BFP soon, glad your cycles have become more regular though.

@noseringgirl I understand. I've just got a bfp on cycle 19 of ttc4! I had an early loss in April also.

NoseringGirl · 24/11/2018 11:15

Congratulations @EverythingNow wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Thanks @noseringgirl. I got side tracked with my original message. What I meant to say was that i was on a lovely group on larger families when I started but it dwindled as most people got their bfp. Then I joined busses and everyone has been lovely but after 18months (well long before that!) I felt left behind but also felt there wasn't really a place to fit for someone taking a while ttc#4. And possibly guilty for feeling sad when I already have 3. Fingers crossed for you lovely xx

NoseringGirl · 24/11/2018 11:27

That definitely sums it up well @EverythingNow glad to know it's not just me that's felt like that. Thank you!

I’m still here! Waves to @NoseringGirl
I was on the waiting to ttc threads too, started trying in July, had a very traumatic miscarriage early in October, and still no luck. My sister is pregnant and due two weeks before I would have been had I not lost it. Feeling throughly fed up and will be here for the forseable!

NoseringGirl · 29/11/2018 21:15

I'm so sorry to hear that @Hofty Thanks
My SIL is due not long after I would've been as well. I'm happy for her but it's still difficult.

Hi All,

I’ve been on the Evra patch for nearly 6 years and was wondering if some of you can share your experiences of being on the patch for so long & what effects it had on you when you were trying to conceive. I have a daughter who is 6, when she was born I went on the patch. I came off it around June/July this year and wanted to know if any of you can please share your experiences with the Evra patchSmile

FlapJackered · 03/12/2018 22:39

Hi @NoseringGirl I remember you from the first Waiting thread. I was on it right at the beginning and started trying in March. Sorry to hear about your mc and that it hasn't happened for you yet.
Still no joy for me and not a hint of a line at any point. I am the last one standing on most of the threads I have joined since. It is disheartening isn't it. I don't have any children and have found a really lovely first timers thread, but maybe this could be a new thread for us inbetweeners where it's taken longer than expected? X

Hofty · 04/12/2018 10:39

I remember you too @FlapJackered! I was on the waiting to TTC thread from feb. How’s everyone doing now? I’m officially in my TWW, I’m 2DPO and my boobs already hurt! I can’t decide if this is a good sign or a bad one? They usually hurt from roughly 6/7DPO until AF, but this time they started hurting at 1DPO. I wonder if this means I can’t be pregnant, as I’m sure its completely impossible to feel symptoms so early. What do you think?

NoseringGirl · 04/12/2018 14:47

@Hofty maybe it's the progesterone causing the boob pain? That would be present at this point in your cycle whether it was a BFP or not. So many symptoms in the 2WW seem to appear either way, it's so confusing! I think people are just more likely to remember the ones from when they were pregnant? Doesn't help us when we're trying to analyse everything!

@FlapJackered I remember you too! Sorry it hasn't happened for you yet either. You're right, it can be very disheartening to be the last one standing on a thread. Hopefully we can keep each other company here!

Hofty · 04/12/2018 15:36

@NoseringGirl you’re right, it’s bound to be progesterone. I hate how my body seems to play tricks when I’m TTC!

NoseringGirl · 04/12/2018 16:22

@Hofty it's impossible not to become hyper aware of every little thing your body does when you're TTC. I'm always thinking that things are significant or that they mean AF is definitely coming or I'll get a BFP. It's probably happened every month I've had periods but I just notice it now. It's so frustrating and knowing all that still doesn't stop me obsessively symptom spotting.

FlapJackered · 04/12/2018 22:18

@Hofty of course, I remember you too! Sorry to hear about your mc.
I was convinced I was pg last cycle, had sore boobs and so nauseous but when I looked up the symptoms I had inputted on the same day in previous cycles on ff, I had put sore boobs and nausea into almost every cycle 😂 so obviously not a pregnancy symptom to me! Like @NoseringGirl said I think sometimes the rise in progesterone can fool us, although you never know!

I am cd4 and having a little break from dieting, opks etc and enjoying wine instead this month! I am going to get back on it all in January. I think I am going to try Soy Isoflavones in January. Have you heard of them? They have pretty mixed reviews but the positives seem to outweigh the negatives.
