BFP soon after miscarriage ?

I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks around 3.5 weeks ago. My husband and I have only dtd once, about 9 days after (just over 2 weeks ago). I tested every day since the miscarriage to check they were fading as they should, and then finally got negatives last wed and Thursday. Then this weekend I’ve had two very faint lines. Is there any chance I’m pregnant again? Has anyone got pregnant so soon after a miscarriage? Has anyone had negative tests after a miscarriage and then had them turn positive again without being pregnant? Thank you!

Yes, I think you could be pregnant again. Not uncommon for women to conceive after a miscarriage without a period in between.

With my last successful pregnancy, I got a faint positive test at 3.5 weeks after negative tests. It was hard going because the question through the pregnancy is when was your LMP, and of course that was the date of the miscarriage. But the pregnancy was otherwise normal.

So looks like it is congratulations to you, you are pregnant!

Yes absolutely possible! I had a mc 19.8.18 dtd once 28.8.18 and got my bfp 14.9.18. I'm now 13+5. Miracles happen 🌻

Congratulations @Bettyhop! That’s lovely. I did a FRER today and had a very definite line. Rang gynae unit who dealt with my miscarriage and they said it’s unlikely I’d have negative and then positive tests following the miscarriage, so have recommended I go to GP to have a blood test to measure HCG. I darent get hopes up and am terrified my womb won’t have recovered enough to sustain another pregnancy so soon.

DrG13 - congratulations, be prepared for a little bit of a rollercoaster of emotions, and try to just take one day at a time, enjoy the moment.
