Fertility affected by the Mirena?

I had the Mirena removed in August and had no significant removal bleed. Had a very substantial bleed on 29th September in which I lost clots, lumps and all sorts. In the meantime, my oh and I have been ttc and figured that the loss in September was either an early miscarriage or my body correcting itself after having the coil removed. I plotted my fertility as if it were a period and dtd with my oh during the advised fertile days. Started having symptoms such as nausea, abdo pains etc so tested 4 days before AF was due. BFN.
Waited until the day after AF was due, again BFN. Tested 2 days later and BFN again. No faint lines, still feel crap but still no AF!!!
Has anyone else had this after having the coil removed? Is it possible I'm pregnant and I'm testing too early or is my body so messed up by the damn coil that it isn't back to normal yet? Any help/advice VERY much appreciated

My experience is that my cycle was regular (tracked through BBT) but it's taken a while for my periods to get back to normal. I had the coil out at the end of July and my first "proper" although still light period was the middle of October which was the end of a chemical (so maybe lining still wasn't enough hence the chemical, idk if it works like that).

I had mine out earlier this year so we could ttc. I had a period immediately on removal, then fell on and miscarried and up until last night, haven't had a period for nearly five months. All of the pts I took were bfn, so I went looking for information and unfortunately found other women in the same boat.

So I went to my doctor who practically laughed at me and told me that after a Mirena removal it could take up to twelve months to get your period back.... I was very upset, as when I'd had it put in I was told three months max for my period to get back to normal. Had I have been told that it could take twelve months to return in the beginning then I either would have gone for something else or had it removed much much sooner.

Thankfully AF arrived late last night, now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that my cycle is returning to normal.

I think your body is probably just readjusting to having no coil in. I hope everything works out for you :).

Thankyou for your messages. I had the coil in years ago, took it out to conceive my youngest and luckily caught on straightaway. Foolishly maybe, I expected the same seeing as the clinic were asking if I'd dtd 7 days prior because I could fall pregnant immediately! I too wasn't told it could take up to 12 months or I would also have done something sooner. I have my fingers crossed for you both that you get your BFP soon.
