Should I see my GP?

I've posted a while ago about this but only had one response and I'm wondering if anyone else had any experience of this please?

I'm 36 and have 3DC (16, 12 & 7). Previously I've had regular AF's and managed to fall pregnant within 3 months each time.

At the start of July I had my implanon implant removed to start ttc. My first cycle was around 35 days long. Since then my last 3 cycles have each been 26 days, so I'm back to being 'regular', however, my last 3 AF's have each lasted less than 2 days. I wake up to AF on the first day and it's quite heavy, then by the time I go to bed on the second day, I have completely stopped bleeding. My AF's used to last 6-7 days before the implant so I'm worried that there might be a problem. Is it because of my age or is it because of the implant? Do short AF's mean I can't get pregnant? I don't want to waste my gp's time (and getting an appointment is almost impossible anyway!). Should I wait a few more months or, given my age, should I go?

Any help/advice would be great because I don't have anyone else to talk to about this.

@Beaubeagle following with interest. I'm 39 with Dc 18,9 and 7. Been off Mirena since 2016 and ttc since July 2017.

My cycles are also usually 26 days with 2 days max bleeding and in 18cycles I've got pregnant once but lost it a week later.

I keep putting off going to the Dr for a few reasons so would be interested in what they say if you go.
Firstly, I worry they'll just say well you're too old and have 3 children anyway.
Secondly, every single month I think I might go, look at when the next appointment is and it's 6-8 weeks away and I think I won't book I'll be pregnant by then. Ever hopeful!!!
Finally, I'm scared. My mum (she only told me this after i started ttc at jusy turned 38) that she finished the menopause at 46!!! And it scares me I'll go and they'll tell me thats it.

Sorry for a bit of a derail, let me know how you get on!

My periods were lighter than usual for about 8 months after having my mirena out at age 37 (after 6 years of using them). I would have about one day of “proper” bleeding followed by a few days of spotting. Finally had a heavier period and got pregnant the next month. I think I was probably unlucky though as I’ve read lots of stories on here of people getting pregnant within a month or two of coil/implant removal.

I’d suggest giving it six months of ttc and then seeing the GP - as you are over 35 they would start doing fertility investigations at that stage anyway.
