Helllooooo deariesFlowers

Opening this new thread looking for a light in the tunnel during my journey towards conception. Would be nice to walk along with people in the same journey. To cut my story short, 3 miscarriages and referred to Mr.S, diagnosed with high NK cells and lupus positive, already on levothyroxine. After 2 weeks of staring at the med pack, I have now finally started on Aspirin, Vit D and Pregnacare plus. Awaiting Ovulation to start on Pred protocol.

Miscarriage Sad history:

  1. July 2017 - In my 12 week scan, found foetus with no hb (6 weeks foetus size), devastated! Shock Had severe morning sickness, didn't predict anything negative. Took my son (6 years then) to the scan planning to break the surprise where he could see his sibling in scan.. We all broke down, opted d&c
  1. March 2018 - started bleeding in 6 weeks and miscarried naturally.
  1. July 2018 - spotted in 6 weeks, scan at EPU no pole, returned when 9 weeks along, still nothing, opted d&c

Bought the ovu predictor kit for the first time, counting days to use it. Any of you in the same position? Would be great to hear your stories and cheer each other up towards the destination. Previous threads were beautiful, so supportive but sadly the latest post was in Sep 2017. So most of them would have crossed the bridge. Decided to start on a fresh thread.. So here we are....

Looking forward to catching up... Take care you guys.... Plenty of baby dust to everyone

P.S. I tend to bend forward a little when inserting as it feels most comfortable that way x

HappyApple05 · 06/02/2019 13:40

@Sunshineblonde1, You made me take off my embarrassment blanky. I don't feel guilty for posting it anymore. Thanks hun.. Very sweet of you... I will try and let you know how I get on. Thanks for your tips :-)
Back door is the way forward then Grin

Re wind, pred itself is making me pass wind a lot.. Now adding Cyclogest to it, I don't know how my family is gonna survive the storm .. ha ha... Can't stop laughing.

Lots of love, hugs, baby dust and sticky vibes

Hehe good luck @HappyApple05 if anything it’s worth a try to see how you get on with it 😄

Re: the wind, mine comes and goes, but the bulkier my meals the worse it is. When I do smaller and often I don’t get any 🧐 x

Chickjen · 06/02/2019 16:00

@HappyApple05 I was squeamish too about the back but hated the mess at the front. It's not as bad as you expect, however I still found it a bit weird so alternated between the 2, like front before bed when you are lying down anyway, kind of spreading the horror!

@Sunshineblonde1 my appt is 9.30, I will be rushing home to pack afterwards, but you never know, we might pass in the corridor Smile

Chickjen · 06/02/2019 16:20

@Nixwix keep strong, the 12th is coming, just need to make it to the weekend and its practically here Flowers

Sunshineblonde1 · 06/02/2019 17:27

@Chickjen @HappyApple05 you are really making me chuckle with the pessary horror stories! Cripes - it sounds pretty messy up the front!!

@Chickjen aww sounds like we might just miss each other by a whisker as I know Dr S likes to march people in and out his office like clockwork Wink. But will be thinking of you next week and do keep us posted on the results! Here to support you!

x

Sunshineblonde1 · 06/02/2019 17:34

Good news the EPU have agreed to scan me next week before seeing Dr S x

Chickjen · 06/02/2019 17:59

Thanks @Sunshineblonde1 good news about the scan, and you get to find out earlier Grin

I have mixed feelings about the results, I am kinda hoping they find something to 'fix' but nothing too gruesome or expensive!

Sunshineblonde1 · 06/02/2019 18:11

@chickjen, whatever it is, you won’t be alone with the diagnosis. And better to know so that you can take action and get on the right path to bringing your baby home 😃

P.s. the results appointment can be quite overwhelming, at least I found it to be as I hadn’t prepared myself for the news, silly me! I just wanted to run into the nearest bar and knock back a large glass of vino after as I was in a state of shock. Do note that the drugs he prescribes that are available on the NHS you can get through your Dr rather than buying from his clinic at a premium. Don’t feel pushed into getting anything there and then. Digest the info first x

HappyApple05 · 06/02/2019 21:44

Hi @Sunshineblonde1 and @Chickjen, tried the rear gate ... Ha ha.. Worked pretty well.. Bending helped to be honest, no mess so far. Not as bad as I thought it 'd be..

And good news re scan @Sunshineblonde1. Glad it worked for you, be prepared for the step up from EPU following the scan Smile.

Dont worry @Chickjen, you are not alone whatever the results are, and they will have an easy fix. It won't be as bad hun.

Love from

Hi everyone,

Just had a scan as I was getting very anxious and scared of another ectopic. Dr spotted the sac and yolk so there's a growing embryo there. But it's a bit too much to the left, there's a good margin but could grow into the opening of my left tube (my left tube was removed, just a little bit of the opening is there). New thing to worry about! Ugh. Dr thinks it might all be fine but I still have to be careful and make sure I go in for regular scans and arrange my appointment with EPU in case it needs to be managed.

Well done @Sunshineblonde1 on getting that EPU appointment! Very helpful to have that.

Thanks @Chickjen and @HappyApple05 , trying my best to keep calm! How are you guys getting on, those pessary stories were funny Grin I hope it's easier now!

Sunshineblonde1 · 07/02/2019 12:11

Hey @Nixwix that’s great news. And fingers crossed the little bean keeps growing in the right direction 🤞🤞 to see the little embryo must have been reassuring! How many weeks/days are you? My scan at EPU I will be 6 weeks 5 days along, hoping it’s not too early to see something 😬 x

HappyApple05 · 07/02/2019 12:45

Hi Lovelies,

I noticed I have started to gain weight, gosh not even preggers yet. Would burst like a balloon one day, pop Wink. What light exercise would you suggest?

Since I stopped going to the gym after the delivery of my first LO, due to childcare issues / timings etc, I found jump roping quite helpful. But I wouldn't go with that while trying to conceive. Any ideas?

I have started to walk the past couple of days - 20 mins and that's it really. I also love bouncing on the space hopper with my son (adult size) - irresistible fun. I don't think any such vigorous bouncing activity is gonna help us in this scenario.

Love

Woohoo @Nixwix .. Fantastic news. You will find it in growing in the right direction in your next scan.. keep your head up and enjoy the journey my dear. Try to get frequent scans at the EPU for the next few weeks faking cramps and citing what Dr.S had mentioned until you settle down peacefully Smile

@Sunshineblonde1, not at all hun. You'll return home happily from the scan to post us the good news Smile.. visualize the magical moment. My yoga teacher has told me once to visualize what I wanted, not followed it so far. Thinking of including it in my morning regime now..

Hey @HappyApple05 thanks for the positivity, you are a ray of light! I have been doing the visualisation too during meditation and accupuncture as I was also taught about the self fulfilling prophecy element and generally holding onto the mindset that everything is well until I have physical evidence of otherwise - but of course the niggly worm nerves still can penetrate through.

I have noticed I am more hungry but wasn't sure if it was the Pred or Pregnancy or both! I don't think we can escape the inevitable weight gain either way tee hee! Thankfully I don't have scales so live in blissful ignorance. Hey walking is a great start and space hopping sounds brilliant, I think anything you can incorporate with your son would be a winner - what activities does he like?

I do 3 x 25 minute runs a week, along with body balance and yoga classes but I have more free time without children. The well being side of yoga and body balance really 'saved me' during my last MMC and listening to Tony Robbins on netflix and podcasts. That guy is incredible.

Megan234 · 07/02/2019 14:51

Hi Ladies
Unfortunately it’s bad news from my side, my hCG didn’t increase much and I started bleeding yesterday. At least I don’t need to have another d&c and with chemical pregnancy we can start ttc this cycle. Having the intralipids last week was completely wast of money, but I felt under pressure to have them done. I wish you all the best of luck and the best possible outcome. Hopefully my dream of having a baby will come true one day 😢 Xx

Chickjen · 07/02/2019 15:34

Oh @Megan234 so sorry to hear that, I hope you are ok. It is heartbreaking. Try to draw some positives if you can, the intras were not a waste as such, you will have peace of mind that you did all that you could, and you can try again straight away without waiting months for everything to resolve. Give yourself a treat at the weekend, next time will be the one big hug

Chickjen · 07/02/2019 16:01

@HappyApple05 glad it is working for you!
@Nixwix first hurdle crossed, big congrats. Might the fact your tube is removed actually help here? If the sac starts growing in that direction it can only grow into the small opening and not in the whole of the tube, might make it quickly realise turning right is a better option Smile

@Sunshineblonde1 oh my god I realise how unprepared I am too. I have thought to myself would I be prepared to take steroids, would I be prepared to inject myself everyday, but it never occurred to me that moment when someone actually confirms this is what you have and this is what to do and here is all the money you need to spend! I will probably stare blankly then burst into tears!
Alcohol is totally my go to in times of need too, perhaps we will bump into each other after all, I will still be in the pub staring in shock at my glass of wine, when you come in for your celebratory orange juice Grin

I couldn't work out why I couldn't sign in to post today when you all could, I think somehow the work IT dept has blocked it, I only managed to sign in now on my phone. Does that mean they have read my posts too!! About the pessaries!! Eek!
My internet at home is also disconnected thanks to BT and openreach not talking to each other and cutting us off early for our move, so I maybe quiet for the next week or so until we move and get reconnected but I will still be here following and supporting Flowers

Sunshineblonde1 · 07/02/2019 16:21

Oh @Megan234 so sorry to hear that Hunni. Sending you a huge hug, I really feel for you xx I couldn’t put it any better than @chickjen said. Let yourself feel the pain but dust yourself off, take a deep mofo breath and try again it’s not over yet and there are still options to explore. We can do this!!!!! Conception is just one step of the hurdle and it’s so great you achieved that in the first place. Take that positive thought and carry it with you for the next baby dancing session. We are at the beginning of the journey and we will all get there in one way or another. Definitely treat yourself this weekend Hunni you SO deserve it.

@chickjen I hadn’t even prepared myself for the steroids. That took me another 3 months to get my head around - I’m such a fanny 😂! You’re miles ahead then I was :) we will all be here to support you on your journey whatever happens!
Eck to the work firewall banning Mumsnet - yikers!! I often wonder whether my work can see what I’m up to here as I have been messaging on my work laptop with gay abandon 🤪x

Sunshineblonde1 · 07/02/2019 16:23

@megan234 I can’t temember whether you are on Ubiquinol already? If this one doesn’t work out for me I’m getting bang on it x

Megan234 · 07/02/2019 17:38

@sunshineblond1 @chickjen thank you for the lovely messages. I’m ok and I will keep going not ready to give up yet.
@sunshineblond1 Yes I’m straight back on ubiqunol. You need to think positive that this pregnancy will work out for you. I do yoga, running, headspace and hypnotherapy, I will try this visualisation technic as well anything to feel better X

Sunshineblonde1 · 07/02/2019 18:01

@megan234 that’s the spirit! The show must go on. Where there is a will, there is always a way. Self care comes first, the rest follows as and when the universe decides it’s the right time. Sending lots of healing thoughts your way x

HappyApple05 · 07/02/2019 20:45

OMG @Megan234 hun.. So sorry to hear that. don't worry my dear.. Stick to the routine religiously next time too and you will get there. Sending you lots of love and hugs. Take it easy over the next few days. Yes, lovely idea to treat yourself..

You know what, I love plants.. Hubby bought me a few for every single mc of mine and my house is now a mini garden centre. Ha ha.. I hope this
made you smile Smile They are my green babies... yes defo visualisation would help I have tried it some years ago when I was doing my driving license exam and came out with flying colors. I have to start applying it with pregnancy too Wink

Oops ladies @Chickjen and @Sunshineblonde1, same here.. I've been using my work lp tooHmm
I don't think it was firewall but the I read on the news that due to a software upgrade, there is login issue with mumsnet from Tue through to today, some users have complained. You might have been impacted by that issue. Should be ok tomorrow hopefully dear. And I take that you haven't used work email to logon to mumsnetHmm ha ha..

@Sunshineblonde1, I spotted the guy on podcast, I'm a pod listener too.. High five..will be following him tomorrow onwards, thanks hun. Re work out, my son loves cycling and I walk alongside him. Oh and we do just dance on Nintendo switch.. Love it..

Good night lovelies.. Time to insert my adorable pessaries. Looking forward to itSad

Lots of positive vibes

And @Chickjen re the results, I was actually praying let it be sticky blood / nk cells (from Dr.Google research I had done) in my case last October for which Dr.S is well known. So it could be treated and you won't believe me how happy I was to learn the same from my results appointment. I gave up drinking few years ago.. So ended up with piles of chocolates. Ha ha.. Can't believe how crazy i'd beenWink Listen to skyfall song - stand tall and face it.. Yes.. And I hope it helps.. Take care.

Oh @megan234 😥😥😥
I’ve been thinking of you and worried about the silence. I’m so sorry. Also awful that the increasing HCG prolonged the agony.
Glad to hear you aren’t giving up and I’m right here with you.
Will you go back to see Mr S soon?

I also had the expensive intralipids for no good reason. It what choice do you have? None at all sadly. Wasted money makes it all a little harder though.

Keep in touch xx
