Helllooooo deariesFlowers

Opening this new thread looking for a light in the tunnel during my journey towards conception. Would be nice to walk along with people in the same journey. To cut my story short, 3 miscarriages and referred to Mr.S, diagnosed with high NK cells and lupus positive, already on levothyroxine. After 2 weeks of staring at the med pack, I have now finally started on Aspirin, Vit D and Pregnacare plus. Awaiting Ovulation to start on Pred protocol.

Miscarriage Sad history:

  1. July 2017 - In my 12 week scan, found foetus with no hb (6 weeks foetus size), devastated! Shock Had severe morning sickness, didn't predict anything negative. Took my son (6 years then) to the scan planning to break the surprise where he could see his sibling in scan.. We all broke down, opted d&c
  1. March 2018 - started bleeding in 6 weeks and miscarried naturally.
  1. July 2018 - spotted in 6 weeks, scan at EPU no pole, returned when 9 weeks along, still nothing, opted d&c

Bought the ovu predictor kit for the first time, counting days to use it. Any of you in the same position? Would be great to hear your stories and cheer each other up towards the destination. Previous threads were beautiful, so supportive but sadly the latest post was in Sep 2017. So most of them would have crossed the bridge. Decided to start on a fresh thread.. So here we are....

Looking forward to catching up... Take care you guys.... Plenty of baby dust to everyone

EmsIMO · 05/09/2019 12:43

@Chickjen That is wonderful news!!! X

KittyKatSmile · 05/09/2019 13:00

@Chickjen I knew it! I bloody knew it! God I'm so freaking chuffed for you! It will be utterly terrifying for the next 6 weeks but stick with the mantra 'today, I am pregnant'

So much love to you and little chicken xx

ginandtonicformeplease · 05/09/2019 13:45

@Chickjen That is absolutely fantastic! Congratulations!

Wishing5tar · 05/09/2019 14:03

Chickjen · 05/09/2019 21:01

Thank you everyone, I am flattered by the support, and very sorry for the moaning over the last few weeks! ❤️❤️❤️
@Pop1234 by LMP it is 6.5 weeks but my cycle is less than 28 days so everything is measuring ahead at 7 weeks. I have only got this far once before size wise.
@KittyKatSmile little chicken 😍 I love it! I am going to call it that from now on 😀
Keeping everything crossed for the next couple of weeks 🙈

Pop1234 · 05/09/2019 21:20

@Chickjen yay so happy for you! And I think measuring ahead is a really good sign. When is your next scan/intralipids?

zoe16 · 05/09/2019 21:42

@Chickjen congratulations, so happy for you! Keep growing sticky bean!

Anatrina · 05/09/2019 22:25

Awwww @Chickjen and little chicken, I'm so over the moon for you both. It's a worrying time but just try to keep calm and remember the mantra. Once you're through you'll look back on it and think the time flew...

Cutie and I sending our best wishes x

MrsMargot · 06/09/2019 09:19

@Chickjen I am so so happy for you!! Sending you hugs!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Anatrina · 06/09/2019 13:11

@KittyKatSmile Can I ask how your immune treatment works with ivf? When did you start taking the drugs etc? Just wondering how mr s plan would work alongside an ivf cycle and if there would be any need to even tell him about it?!

Belarita · 06/09/2019 14:35

YES @Chickjen! YESSSSSS!!!! XXX

KittyKatSmile · 06/09/2019 15:23

Hi @Anatrina. I decided to not go with Mr S after my last miscarriage with him (I won't go into it again but it's all written down here somewhere!) I just chose an IVF clinic who sort of believed in immune therapy etc and their protocol was very similar to that of Mr S. Maybe even more conservative. You'd need them to be happy with the drugs you were taking I suppose. I started on the pred 2 days before embryo transfer I think but I'd already had intralipids before (twice before and then twice after BFP). I hope that helps. Are you already with a clinic? Where are you based?

Anatrina · 06/09/2019 16:28

Hi @KittyKatSmile I’m going for a chat tomorrow with a Greek clinic. Just want to weigh my options up. I’m like you and was getting pregnant really quickly before the treatment. It’s only been 3 tries on the treatment so maybe I’m being impatient but I’ll be 41 next year so don’t have time on my side. I’m based in Dorset.
Did your clinic have much to say about pgs? I guess they knew your issues were immune, whereas my results from Mr S we’re actually normal so I’m wondering if pgs would be an option for me. Also, do you have more that are still frozen? Thanks for the info! So pleased it’s all going well for you xx

Chickjen · 06/09/2019 16:42

@Pop1234 I'm going for both in 2 weeks time, that will be a massive milestone for me.

@Anatrina when I booked for intras with MrS they asked if it was for a pregnancy or in preparation for IVF so it is definitely something they support if you do choose that route.

Thanks again everyone for your lovely words, the support here is amazing ❤️❤️❤️

Anatrina · 06/09/2019 16:48

@Chickjen Ah thanks that’s useful to know. Congrats again!!

KittyKatSmile · 06/09/2019 18:04

@Anatrina I think they do pgs testing as I feel like I've been offered it but I don't know for sure.

I started shopping around for a clinic after miscarriage 3 and one of the clinics said the the steroids could stop you getting pregnant. That was enough for me to have a break as I'd been having awful side effects and I got pregnant almost straight away but lost that one leading Mr S to say I'd brought it on myself. And there ended our relationship:-)

Sorry if you've read that before; just thought it was useful context in your situation. I'm 39 so I know that feeling.

Anatrina · 06/09/2019 19:45

@KittyKatSmile yes thanks that’s really useful. So did that clinic say that the steroids possibly stopping you get pregnant only applies to natural cycles and ivf is ok? Obviously worked for you anyway!

KittyKatSmile · 06/09/2019 19:55

@Anatrina they didn't really go into specifics and I didn't end up going with them but I figured there was so much science and so many drugs going into the whole process, it would be fine! Plus it takes so much longer to do a cycle of IVF than if you're trying naturally every month I didn't mind taking the steroids. It was a huge surprise that it worked first time though; I'm a realist rather than a pessimist but I never expected that.

MrsMargot · 06/09/2019 21:05

@Anatrina
Would you mind sharing which Greek clinic you are looking into? I was told for one in Thessaloniki and I am wondering whether it is the same.

Anatrina · 06/09/2019 22:17

@MrsMargot it’s Embryolab

MrsMargot · 06/09/2019 23:13

@Anatrina Ah it is the same! See what you think and I would appreciate your view! Thank you!

Anatrina · 08/09/2019 14:02

@MrsMargot The meeting went really well yesterday. He suggested some more tests before attempting IVF with PGS, to cover all bases. They were really lovely, just waiting for them to send over more info now. I have had 2 friends go over there for treatment too and both got pregnant first time.
