Does anyone else think Frer's are no longer good?

I've been on here a few times over the past few months with "can you see a line" posts . Every month they were giving me a "hint " of something so of course I was running and buying more . Silly me but hey , this Ttc thing makes us all a little crazy . So basically are there any other brands you would rate instead of frer. Thanks ladies x

I’ve been saying for an age they’re not great, they’re not as sensitive as they used to be and have horrible Evaps half the time

I found clearblue this time to be reliable and more sensitive

Meme141 · 16/10/2018 13:20

The Evaps are horrendous. Must pick up a few clear blue later . I used them years ago with older kids and found them great and clear answers either way but not these days

Can anyone recommend any others to use?

ReginaPhalange89 · 16/10/2018 15:37

I've never had an issue with frers tbh, I've never used clear blue but always seeing bad reviews on here !

last pregnancy I ran in to Morrison's quickly and the only test I could find was their own brand. It gave me really clear lines , I tested a few more times using the same ones and they were always good! But again I've heard bad reviews about other supermarket tests like Asda and Sainsburys

Years ago they worked for me but of the past year they have gave the most dodgy lines . One r 2 had me convinced but sadly no xxx

I always swore by FRER but a few months ago I had two false positives. They weren’t squinters either - even my DH could see them and he’s normally tough to convince. But a quantative HCG test showed that I definitely wasn’t pregnant (thankfully, as I was only 6 weeks post partum!)

I agree I had a hint of a line last week 10dpo then 11dpo clear negative will NOT be using them in future!

Chocolate45 · 16/10/2018 17:01

I’ve used quite a few different brands and FRER seem to be the best ones going for me. They must make a fortune as I’ve probably spent about £80 on tests. I’m 12dpo and a faint line appeared today. Tested using another brand and nothing.

I found them very reliable.

Livinglavidal0ca · 16/10/2018 19:09

I tested at what must have been 8 or 9 days post ovulation. Used a superseding cheapie and it showed up a really faint line but not a squinter. Think it was 99p for two!
