Hi everyone,

First time poster, I'm looking for some advice.

I have been with my partner 5 years. We haven't been using contraception for over 3 years. During this time I wouldn't say we've been properly 'trying'(not tracking cycle or whatnot) we were just going with if it happens it happens no pressure.

However as I say it's now 3 years on and still nothing which is starting to worry me and I'm not sure whether I need to start seeking help and how I go about seeking help? I'm mid twenties and panicking if I leave it later then there's less time to receive help.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thank you x

If you’re not actively ‘trying’ then it’s possible you’re just missing your best chance each month. Your egg is only there for about 36 hours so timing is key!

If I were you, I’d spend the next 3 cycles tracking my cm and maybe taking OPKs and if you’re still no further forward by then, then see your GP. The first thing they’ll do is take bloods (usually cd3 & cd21) to check you’re ovulating.

Good luck OP

PS) Mid 20s is still v young 😊
