Clearblue monitor - is it worth it?

Hi everyone

Is the Clearblue monitor worth it? I roughly know my cycles but want to start TTC properly next month and wondering if this will help?

Also, is the Concieve Plus lube worth it?

Many thanks!

I used these and got bfp 2nd month trying (so lucky) so I would defo recommend. I used mine with other darker OPK'S as they are quite pricey (when lone starter to appear / get darker I started with CB).

I haven't tried that lube but did you preseed and we got bfp first cycle using it.

Good luck x

Thanks for your replySmile

Did you use the sticks or the touch screen monitor? I can't decide.

Congrats on your BFB xx

I’ve been using the monitor for a few months and no BFP yet. I like that it’s fairly easy to use and gives both high and peak days. I don’t like how it tells you to keep testing after it detects an LH surge. It’s a waste of money and I only test until my first peak reading.

It's the sticks with the easy read screen. Like prev poster I liked how it was very clear. I too didn't test again after getting my peak x

Thanks both. Very much appreciated xx

My monitor showed lots of highs but no peaks for me- I got pregnant twice anyway so must have peaked but the monitor didn’t pick it up. Could just be me obviously, I know lots of people love it, just didn’t really work for me, I found the cheap ovulation tests more useful.

I used this with DC1 and for DC2 I used cheap OPK sticks from amazon. Honestly the cheap sticks were as easy to use. I also got pregnant a lot quicker the 2nd time but that may just be luck.

I had the monitor and cheapy sticks and tbh I gave up with the monitor after a month or two - more expensive and I never got a positive despite the fact I knew I was ovulating as I was temping as well. We were ttc for over a year. The third month we used the lube and second month I'd been putting my bum up on cushions and using a moon cup straight after we caught.

Might sound psycho but I was really losing hope and in the end what we thought would be a passion killer doing all that ended up being really funny of us both faffing and messing to get me in position and cut the tension that had been there for so long with trying.

Hi
I’ve been using the clear blue sticks plus the cheaper online sticks. When I hit a ‘peak’ fertility on clear blue I focus on the other sticks. Unfortunately I rarely get a positive on the cheaper sticks ☹️. Planned blood test next week at TTC for 7 months now.

Both tests are easy to use. TBH I probably wouldn’t be going for tests if I wasn’t using them as I’d assume I was ovulating (when I’m not, properly).

We also use conceive plus, there’s nothing I’d say was wrong with it. Worth a try and better than other lubes when TTC.

Good luck everyone x

Yes for me it worked 3rd cycle after a long time ttc

Hi what did you decide with the monitor? I have been looking at buying the ovusense... even though I roughly have an idea when I ovulate after a year now of ttc I'm looking for anything to help. Maybe you should look at the ovusense. I like the sound of it more than the clear blue monitor.
Sprinkle of baby dust

Thanks, ladies.

Not seen the Ovusense. I have my eye on the Clearblue monitor and was all set to buy it but my car needed two new tyres so I can't afford it this month!
